bukhari:1028 – Muḥammad > ʿAbd al-Wahhāb > Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > Abū Bakr b. Muḥammad > ʿAbbād b. Tamīm > ʿAbdullāh b. Zayd al-Anṣārī

The Prophet ﷺ went out towards the Musalla in order to offer the Istisqa' prayer and when he intended to invoke (Allah) or started invoking, he faced the Qibla and turned his cloak inside out.  

البخاري:١٠٢٨ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنَّ عَبَّادَ بْنَ تَمِيمٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّ

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يُصَلِّي وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا دَعَا أَوْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ اسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنُ زَيْدٍ هَذَا مَازِنِيٌّ وَالأَوَّلُ كُوفِيٌّ هُوَ ابْنُ يَزِيدَ

'Abdullah b. Zaid al-Ansari reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the place of prayer in order to offer prayer for rainfall. And when he intended to make supplication he faced Qibla and turned round his mantle.  

مسلم:٨٩٤c – وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ عَبَّادَ بْنَ تَمِيمٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّ

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى يَسْتَسْقِي وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ اسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ  

abudawud:1166 – ʿAbdullāh b. Maslamah > Sulaymān / Ibn Bilāl > Yaḥyá > Abū Bakr b. Muḥammad > ʿAbbād b. Tamīm > ʿAbdullāh b. Zayd

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh)went out to the place of prayer to pray for rain. When he wanted to make supplication, he faced the qiblah and turned around his cloak.
