Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If anyone of you performs ablution he should put water in his nose and then blow it out and whoever cleans his private parts with stones should do so with odd numbers. And whoever wakes up from his sleep should wash his hands before putting them in the water for ablution, because nobody knows where his hands were during sleep."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَجْعَلْ فِي أَنْفِهِ ثُمَّ لِيَنْثُرْ وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ وَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلْيَغْسِلْ يَدَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهَا فِي وَضُوئِهِ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

The Apostle of Allah ﷺ said. When any one of you awakes up from sleep and performs ablution, he must clean his nose three times, for the devil spends the night in the interior of his nose.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَبِيتُ عَلَى خَيَاشِيمِهِ

When anyone amongst you wakes up from sleep, he must not put his hand in the utensil till he has washed it three times, for he does not know where his hand was during the night.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلاَ يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلاَثًا فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

The Apostle of Allah ﷺ said: When anyone amongst you wakes up from sleep, he should wash his hands three times before putting it in the utensil, for he does not know where his hand was during the night.

أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُفْرِغْ عَلَى يَدِهِ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي فِيمَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When anyone amongst you wakes up from sleep at night, he should not put his hand in the utensil until he has washed his hand three times, for he does’ not know where his hand was during the night.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلاَ يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah (May Peace be upon him) say: When any of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand in the utensil until he washes it three times, for none of you knows where his hand remained during the night or where it went round.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ أَوْ أَيْنَ كَانَتْ تَطُوفُ يَدُهُ

Prophet said: "When on of you awakens in the night, then let him not put his hand into the vessel until he has poured water on two times, or three times, for indeed he does not know where his hand has spent the night."

يُقَالُ هُوَ مِنْ وَلَدِ بُسْرِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ صَاحِبِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يُفْرِغَ عَلَيْهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثًا فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَجَابِرٍ وَعَائِشَةَ

"When any one of you wakes from sleep, let him not dip his hand in (the water he uses for) his Wudu' until he has washed it three times, for none of you knows where his hand spent the night."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلاَ يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي وَضُوئِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلاَثًا فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

"When any one of you wakes from sleep, let him not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it three times, because he does not know where his hand spent the night."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يُفْرِغَ عَلَيْهَا ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When any one of you gets up after (sleeping) at night, let him not put his hand into the vessel until he has poured water on it two or three times, for none of you knows where his hand spent the night.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يُفْرِغَ عَلَيْهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثًا فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

Abu Hurairah used to say: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'When anyone of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand into the vessel until he has poured water on it two or three times, for none of you knows where his hand spent the night,'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يُفْرِغَ عَلَيْهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثًا فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لاَ يَدْرِي فِيمَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

The Messenger of Allah said: "When anyone of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'When anyone of oyu gets up from sleep and wants to perform ablution, he should not put his hand into the vessel he used for ablution until he has washed it, because he does not know where his hand spent the night or where he put it.'" [(One of the narrators) Abu Ishaq said: "What is correct is that it is narrated from Jabir, from Abu Hurairah."]

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ النَّوْمِ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي وَضُوئِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ وَلاَ عَلَى مَا وَضَعَهَا

The Messenger of Allah said: "When anyone of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 394)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي الْوَضُوءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثًا»

"When any one of you wakes from sleep, let him not dip his hand in (the water he uses for) his Wudu' until he has washed it three times, for none of you knows where his hand spent the night." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1)

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رِوَايَةً إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثًا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْيَدُهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When anyone amongst you wakes up from sleep at night, he should not put his hand in the utensil until he has washed his hand three times, for he does’ not know where his hand was during the night. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 103)

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up, he should not put his hand in his vessel or in his ablution water until he washes it three times, for he does not know where his hand slept."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ أَوْ قَالَ فِي وَضُوئِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If one of you is asleep and then wakes up and wants to perform ablution, he should not put his hand in the container until he pours water onto his hand, for he does not know where his hand has spent the night."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَأَحَدُكُمْ نَائِمًا ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظَ فَأَرَادَ الْوُضُوءَ فَلَا يَضَعْ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَصُبَّ عَلَى يَدِهِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up, let him not put his hand into his utensil or his vessel, or, he said, into his ablution water, until he washes it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ أَوْ قَالَ فِي وَضُوئِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثَمَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[AI] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand in the ablution water until he washes it, for none of you knows where his hand has spent the night."

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلَا يَضَعْ يَدَهُ فِي الْوَضُوءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا إِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَحَدُكُمْ أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up from sleep, let him shake off his hands from his blanket three times."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْمِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلْيُفْرِغْ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ مِنْ إِنَائِهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up from sleep, let him blow on his hands three times, and he does not know where his hand has spent the night." Qays al-Ashja'i said, "O Abu Hurayrah, what about when your bridles come?" He said, "I seek refuge in Allah from your evil, O Qays."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلْيُفْرِغْ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ مِنْ إِنَائِهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ فَقَالَ قَيْسٌ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جَاءَ مِهْرَاسُكُمْ؟ قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ شَرِّكَ يَا قَيْسُ

[AI] Narrated by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ : When one of you wakes up from sleep and wants to perform ablution (washing before prayer), they should not dip their hand into the vessel until they have washed it, as they do not know where their hand has spent the night.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَأَرَادَ الطُّهُورَ فَلَا يَضَعَنَّ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

"When any one of you wakes from sleep, let him not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it three times, because he does not know where his hand spent the night." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 161)

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ فَلْيُفْرِغْ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُمَا فِي الْإِنَاءِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِيمَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up, he should not put his hand in the water for washing until he washes it, as he does not know where his hand has spent the night."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَضَعَنَّ يَدَهُ فِي الْغِسْلِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "When one of you wakes up from his sleep, let him not dip his hand in his container of water until he pours it over it (the hand) and washes it, for he does not know where his hand spent the night."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْمَنَامِهِ فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي طَهُورِهِ حَتَّى يُفْرِغَ عَلَيْهَا فَيَغْسِلَهَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'zZinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you wake up from sleep to pray, wash your hands before you put them in the wudu water, for you do not know where your hands have spent the night."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلْيَغْسِلْ يَدَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهَا فِي وَضُوئِهِ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[AI] Narrated Abu Huraira: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you wakes up from sleep, let him wash his hands before putting them in the water for ablution, for none of you knows where his hand spent the night."

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلْيَغْسِلْ يَدَيْهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهُمَا فِي وَضُوئِهِ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ»

The Messenger of Allah said: "When anyone of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 394)

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قال إذا استيقظ أحدكم من نومه فلا يدخل يده في الإناء حتى يغسلها فإنه لا يدري أظنه قال أين باتت يده وهذا الحديث رواه ابن عُيَينة وغيره عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عَن أَبِي سَلَمَة عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة وجمع مَعْمَر بين سَعِيد وأبي سلمة

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ إذا استيقظ أحدكم فلا يضع يده في الغسل أو قال في الماء حتى يغسلها ثلاثًا فإنه لا يدري أين باتت يده

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي وَضُوئِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثًا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي حَيْثُ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ»

"When any one of you wakes from sleep, let him not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it three times, because he does not know where his hand spent the night." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 161)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ فَلَا يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يُفْرِغَ عَلَيْهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you wakes up from his sleep, let him wash his hands before placing them in his ablution, for one of you does not know where his hand has spent the night."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلْيَغْسِلْ يَدَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهَا فِي وَضُوئِهِ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you wakes up from sleep, he should not dip his hand in a vessel until he washes it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثًا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah (May Peace be upon him) say: When any of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand in the utensil until he washes it three times, for none of you knows where his hand remained during the night or where it went round. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 105)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلَا يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ أَوْ أَيْنَ كَانَتْ تَطُوفُ يَدُهُ

[AI] "He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When one of you wakes up, let him wash his hands three times before inserting his hand into a vessel, for he does not know where his hand spent the night."

أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُفْرِغْ عَلَى يَدِهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرَى فِيمَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up from sleep, do not put his hand in the ablution water until he washes it, for he does not know where his hand has spent the night."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلَا يَضَعْ يَدَهُ فِي الْوَضُوءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَحَدُكُمْ أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you wakes up from sleep and wants to perform ablution, then let him pour water over his hands, for he does not know where his hands have been during the night."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ النَّوْمِ إِلَى الْوُضُوءِ فَلْيُفْرِغْ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَاءِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up, he should not put his hand into his vessel or his water container, or he said, into his purification water, until he washes it three times. Verily, he does not know where his hand spent the night."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ أَوْ قَالَ فِي وَضُوئِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When any one of you gets up after (sleeping) at night, let him not put his hand into the vessel until he has poured water on it two or three times, for none of you knows where his hand spent the night.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 441)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مَنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلَا يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يُفْرِغَ عَلَيْهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ وَكَذَلِكَ قَالَهُ ابْنُ هُرْمُزَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "If one of you is sleeping and then wakes up and wants to perform ablution, do not put his hand in the vessel until he pours water on his hand, for he does not know where his hand has spent the night."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ نَائِمًا ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظَ وَأَرَادَ الْوُضُوءَ فَلَا يَضَعْ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَصُبَّ عَلَى يَدِهِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ
