[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up from sleep, do not put his hand in the ablution water until he washes it, for he does not know where his hand has spent the night."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'zZinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you wake up from sleep to pray, wash your hands before you put them in the wudu water, for you do not know where your hands have spent the night."  

مالك:٢-٧حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

I heard the Messenger of Allah (May Peace be upon him) say: When any of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand in the utensil until he washes it three times, for none of you knows where his hand remained during the night or where it went round. السيوطي:١٢٣٤a

"إِذَا استيقظَ أحدُكم مِنْ منامِه فلا يُدْخلْ يدَهُ فِي الإناء حتَّى يغْسلهَا؛ فإنه لَا يَدْرِي أينَ بَاتَتْ يَدُه مِنْهُ، وَيُسمَى قَبْلَ أنْ يُدْخِلهَا".
