We performed prostration along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ (as he recited these verses: )" When the heaven burst asunder" and" Read in the name of Thy Lord" (al-Qur'an, xcvi. 1).

سَجَدْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي { إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ} وَ { اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ}

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrated himself (while reciting these verses)." When the heaven burst asunder" ;" Read in the name of Thy Lord".

عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجِ مَوْلَى بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي { إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ} وَ { اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ}

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrated during: 'When the heaven is split asunder.'"

سَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي { إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ }

"We prostrated with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during: When the heaven is split asunder and Read! In the Name of your Lord."

سَجَدْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي { إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ } وَ { اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ }

"I prostrated with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during; 'When the heaven is split asunder' and 'Read! In the Name of your Lord.'"

سَجَدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي { إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ } وَ { اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ }

“We prostrated with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in “When the heaven is split asunder” [84:1] and “Read! In the Name of your Lord.” [96:1]

سَجَدْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي {إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ} وَ {اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ}

that the Prophet ﷺ prostrated in the ˹Surah˺ "When the sky tears apart" (Surat al-Inshiqaq)

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَجَدَ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ»

We prostrated ourselves along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on account of: "When the sky is rent asunder" and "Recite in the name of Your Lord Who created" (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1407)

«سَجَدْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ وَاقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ»

[AI] Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ prostrated when the sky split and said, "Read."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَجَدَ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ وَاقْرَأْ

[AI] Abu Hurairah and I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrating in it, meaning when the sky split open.

أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْجُدُ فِيهَا يَعْنِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ

[AI] I saw Abu Huraira prostrating when the sky split open. I said, "Do you prostrate in it?" He said, "Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ prostrated in it."

رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ سَجَدَ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ قُلْتُ تَسْجُدُ فِيهَا قَالَ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَجَدَ فِيهَا

[AI] I saw Abu Huraira prostrating when the sky split, so I said, "You are prostrating in a surah in which we do not prostrate." He said, "Indeed, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrating in it."

رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ سَجَدَ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ فَقُلْتُ سَجَدْتَ فِي سُورَةٍ مَا نَسْجَدُ فِيهَا قَالَ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْجُدُ فِيهَا

[AI] The passage translates to: "It is narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that he prostrated when the sky split open."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ سَجَدَ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْجُدُ فِي {إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ} [الانشقاق 1]

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Yazid, the mawla of al Aswad ibn Sufyan, from Abu Salama ibn Abd ar Rahman that Abu Hurayra recited al-Inshiqaq (Sura 84) to them and prostrated in it. When he had finished he told them that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had prostrated in it.

أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَرَأَ لَهُمْ إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ فَسَجَدَ فِيهَا فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ أَخْبَرَهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَجَدَ فِيهَا

أنه قال صليت وراء أبي هُرَيرة فقرأ { إذا السماء انشقت} فسجد فيها وقال رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يسجد فيها أبو الغيث واسمه سالم مولى مطيع عَن أبي هُرَيرة

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سجد في { إذا السماء انشقت}

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سجد في إذا السَّماء انشقت

[AI] Regarding the narration of Idris al-Awadī and Ibn Abī Laylā, both narrated from ʿĀṣim ibn Abī an-Najūd, who narrated from Zirr ibn Ḥubaysh, who narrated from Ṣafwān ibn ʿAssāl, that the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prostrated when the sky was split apart.

عَنْ إِدْرِيسَ الْأَوْدِيِّ وابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَسَّالٍ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سَجَدَ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ»

[AI] Abdullah used to prostrate when the sky split open.

كَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ يَسْجُدُ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ

[AI] I saw Abdullah and Omar, or one of them, prostrate when the heavens split.

رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ وَعُمَرَ أَوْ أَحَدَهُمَا يَسْجُدُ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ prostrated in the letter "ص".

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «سَجَدَ فِي ص»

«سَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ»

“We prostrated with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in “When the heaven is split asunder” [84:1] and “Read! In the Name of your Lord.” [96:1] (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1058)

«سَجَدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ وَاقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكِ»

"عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ أَنَّ عُمَرَ وَعَبْدَ الله بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ سَجَدَا فِى: إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ".

"أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سَجَد في {إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ} ".
