Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If I had gold equal to the mountain of Uhud, it would not please me that it should remain with me for more than three days, except an amount which I would keep for repaying debts."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَوْ كَانَ لِي مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنْ لاَ يَمُرَّ عَلَىَّ ثَلاَثٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ شَىْءٌ إِلاَّ شَىْءٌ أُرْصِدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ رَوَاهُ صَالِحٌ وَعُقَيْلٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ

Allah Apostle said, "If I had gold equal to the mountain of Uhud, it would not please me that anything of it should remain with me after three nights (i.e., I would spend all of it in Allah's Cause) except what I would keep for repaying debts."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَوْ كَانَ لِي مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا لَسَرَّنِي أَنْ لاَ تَمُرَّ عَلَىَّ ثَلاَثُ لَيَالٍ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ شَىْءٌ إِلاَّ شَيْئًا أُرْصِدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "If I had gold equal to the mountain of Uhud, I would love that, before three days had passed, not a single Dinar thereof remained with me if I found somebody to accept it excluding some amount that I would keep for the payment of my debts.''

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ كَانَ عِنْدِي أُحُدٌ ذَهَبًا لأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ لاَ يَأْتِيَ ثَلاَثٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ لَيْسَ شَىْءٌ أُرْصِدُهُ فِي دَيْنٍ عَلَىَّ أَجِدُ مَنْ يَقْبَلُهُ

Nothing is more delighting to me than this that Uhud should be of gold for me, and no dinar is left with me out of it before three nights pass except a dinar which I would set aside for the repayment of debt upon me.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا تَأْتِي عَلَىَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلاَّ دِينَارٌ أُرْصِدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ عَلَىَّ

“I would not like to have (the equivalent of) Uhud in gold, then a third night comes to me and I have anything of it left, except something that I set aside to pay off a debt.”

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أُحُدًا عِنْدِي ذَهَبًا فَتَأْتِي عَلَىَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ شَىْءٌ إِلاَّ شَىْءٌ أُرْصِدُهُ فِي قَضَاءِ دَيْنٍ

[AI] "Abu Al-Qasim, if I had some gold with me, it would please me to spend it in the path of Allah and not have a third party involved. I only have dinars and dirhams, but they are all reserved for a debt I owe."

أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ لَوْ كَانَ أُحُدٌ عِنْدِي ذَهَبًا لَسَرَّنِي أَنْ أُنْفِقَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَأَنْ لَا يَأْتِيَ عَلَيْهِ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ وَلَا دِرْهَمٌ إِلَّا شَيْءٌ أُرْصِدُهُ فِي دَيْنٍ يَكُونُ عَلَيَّ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if I were to have a mountain of gold, I would prefer that it not remain with me for three nights, and I would have a dinar of it left for someone to take from me, without keeping even a single dirham of it owed to me."

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْأَنَّ أُحُدًا عِنْدِي ذَهَبًا لَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ لَا يَأْتِيَ عَلَيَّ ثَلَاثُ لَيَالٍ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ أَجِدُ مَنْ يَقْبَلُهُ مِنِّي لَيْسَ شَيْئًا أَرْصُدُهُ فِي دَيْنٍ عَلَيَّ

“I would not like to have (the equivalent of) Uhud in gold, then a third night comes to me and I have anything of it left, except something that I set aside to pay off a debt.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4132)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ عِنْدِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا يَأْتِي عَلَيَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا شَيْءٌ أَرْصُدُهُ فِي قَضَاءِ دَيْنٍ يَكُونُ عَلَيَّ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I do not like to have any gold with me for three nights while I have some of it, without finding someone to accept it from me except that I settle it in a debt that I owe."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا يَمُرُّ عَلَيَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ فَأَجِدُ مَنْ يَتَقَبَّلُهُ مِنِّي إِلَّا أَنْ أَرْصُدَهُ فِي دَيْنٍ يَكُونُ عَلَيَّ

[AI] I heard Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ saying, "What pleases me is to have someone bring me three dirhams but still have a dinar left that I do not need to use for debt."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا يَأْتِي عَلَيَّ ثَلَاثٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ لَيْسَ شَيْئًا أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand my soul is, it does not please me that one of you comes to me with no money and stays with me for three days while I have a dinar that I do not spend it on a debt upon myself."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ أُحُدًا ذَاكُمْ ذَهَبًا عِنْدِي يَأْتِي عَلَيْهِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلَّا شَيْئًا أَرْصُدُهُ فِي دَيْنٍ عَلَيَّ

[AI] "From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: It does not please me that I die while having any gold, either a dinar or half of a dinar, unless I have given it to a debtor."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا أَمُوتُ يَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ أَوْ نِصْفُ دِينَارٍ إِلَّا أَنْ أَرْصُدَهُ لِغَرِيمٍ

[AI] I heard Abu Al-Qasim peace be upon him say, "It does not please me that anyone owes me gold, and I have a dinar from it that I keep as a debt upon me."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ أُحُدًا لِي ذَهَبًا يَأْتِي عَلَيَّ ثَلَاثٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ غَيْرَ شَيْءٍ أَرْصُدُهُ فِي دَيْنٍ عَلَيَّ»

[AI] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if I had one pound of gold, I would have loved that it would not remain with me for three nights, and I have a dinar with me that I cannot find anyone to accept it from me as there is nothing remaining for me to pay off debts."

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْ كَانَ عِنْدِي أُحُدٌ ذَهَبًا لَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ لَا يَأْتِي عَلَيَّ ثَلَاثٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ لَا أَجِدُ مَنْ يَتَقَبَّلَهُ مِنِّي لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ عَلَيَّ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ لو كان لي مثل أحد ذهبا لسرني أن لا تمر علي ثلاث ليال وعندي منه شيء إلاَّ شيئا أرصده لدين

Allah Apostle said, "If I had gold equal to the mountain of Uhud, it would not please me that anything of it should remain with me after three nights (i.e., I would spend all of it in Allah's Cause) except what I would keep for repaying debts." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6445)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْ كَانَ لِي مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا لَسَرَّنِي أَنْ لَا تَمُرَّ عَلَيَّ ثَلَاثُ لَيَالٍ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا شَيْءٌ أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنِي

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If I had the equivalent of a mountain of gold, it would not please me to have it with me for more than three nights, except for what I keep for debt."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا مَا سَرَّنِي أَنْ يَأْتِيَ عَلَيَّ ثَلَاثُ لَيَالٍ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا شَيْءٌ أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if I had even one gold piece, I would prefer that it not stay with me for three nights, and I have a dinar with me which I cannot find anyone to accept it from me except if I give it as charity to someone who has a debt with me."

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْ أَنَّ عِنْدِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا لَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ لَا يَأْتِيَ عَلَيَّ ثَلَاثُ لَيَالٍ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ أَجِدُ مَنْ يَتَقَبَّلُهُ إِلَّا شَيئًا أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ عَلَيَّ

"لَوْ أن لِي مِثْلَ أُحُد ذَهبًا مَا سَرَّنى أنْ يَأتِيَ عَلَيَّ ثَلاثُ لَيَالٍ وَعِنْدِي منْهُ إِلَّا شَيء أَرْصُدُه لَدِينٍ".

"لَوْ كَانَ لِي مِثْلُ أحُد ذَهَبًا لَسَرَّنِى أن لا يَمُر عَلَيّ ثَلاث وعنْدى منه شَيء إِلا شَيء أرصُدُهْ لدَين".

"مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِيَ أُحُدًا ذَهبًا، أَمُوتُ يومَ أمُوتُ وعندى منه دينارٌ أو نصفُ دينارِ إلا أَن أرْصُدَهُ لِغَريم".

"مَا يَسُرُّنِى أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهبًا، يأتِي عَلَيَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي دِينَارٌ إِلَّا أَنْ أَرْصُدَهُ لِغَريمٍ".

"مَا يَسُرِّنِى أَن لِي أُحُدًا ذَهبًا، يأتِي عَليهِ ثَالثَةٌ، وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلَّا دِينارًا أَرْصُدُهُ لِدينٍ عَلَيَّ".

"والَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحمدٍ بِيدِهِ لَوْ كَانَ أُحُدٌ عِندِي ذَهبًا لأَحببتُ أن لا يأتِي عَلَيَّ ثلاثٌ وعِنْدِي منه دِينار أجدُ مَنْ يقبله مِنِّي لَيس شيءٌ أرصَدُه فِي دَينٍ عَليَّ".
