Nothing is more delighting to me than this that Uhud should be of gold for me, and no dinar is left with me out of it before three nights pass except a dinar which I would set aside for the repayment of debt upon me.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا تَأْتِي عَلَىَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلاَّ دِينَارٌ أُرْصِدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ عَلَىَّ

“I would not like to have (the equivalent of) Uhud in gold, then a third night comes to me and I have anything of it left, except something that I set aside to pay off a debt.”

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أُحُدًا عِنْدِي ذَهَبًا فَتَأْتِي عَلَىَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ شَىْءٌ إِلاَّ شَىْءٌ أُرْصِدُهُ فِي قَضَاءِ دَيْنٍ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "It does not please me that the mountain of Uhud be made of gold for me, but I die with only a dinar or half a dinar, except for debts to others."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ جَبَلَ أُحُدٍ لِي ذَهَبًا أَمُوتُ يَوْمَ أَمُوتُ عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ أَوْ نِصْفُ دِينَارٍ إِلَّا لِغَرِيمٍ»

[AI] "Abu Al-Qasim, if I had some gold with me, it would please me to spend it in the path of Allah and not have a third party involved. I only have dinars and dirhams, but they are all reserved for a debt I owe."

أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ لَوْ كَانَ أُحُدٌ عِنْدِي ذَهَبًا لَسَرَّنِي أَنْ أُنْفِقَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَأَنْ لَا يَأْتِيَ عَلَيْهِ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ وَلَا دِرْهَمٌ إِلَّا شَيْءٌ أُرْصِدُهُ فِي دَيْنٍ يَكُونُ عَلَيَّ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "I do not like to have any gold with me that stays with me for three nights, while I owe someone a Dinar, except that I have prepared it to pay off my debt."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ عِنْدِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا يَمُرُّ بِي ثَلَاثٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلَّا شَيْئًا أَعْدَدْتُهُ لِغَرِيمِي

“I would not like to have (the equivalent of) Uhud in gold, then a third night comes to me and I have anything of it left, except something that I set aside to pay off a debt.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4132)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ عِنْدِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا يَأْتِي عَلَيَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا شَيْءٌ أَرْصُدُهُ فِي قَضَاءِ دَيْنٍ يَكُونُ عَلَيَّ

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet (PBUH), he said, "I do not like to have the equivalent of gold like Uhud mountain except that I have prepared it for a debt, unless it is preserved for payment (of debts) on the day I die."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا قَالَ شُعْبَةُ أَوْ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا أَدَعُ يَوْمَ أَمُوتُ دِينَارًا إِلَّا أَنْ أُرْصِدَهُ لِدَيْنٍ

[AI] I heard Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ saying, "What pleases me is to have someone bring me three dirhams but still have a dinar left that I do not need to use for debt."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا يَأْتِي عَلَيَّ ثَلَاثٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ لَيْسَ شَيْئًا أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "I do not like to possess any gold that comes my way, except for one dinar that I set aside for a rival."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا يَمُرُّ بِي ثَالِثَةٌ عِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلَّا شَيْءٌ أُعِدُّهُ لِغَرِيمٍ

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand my soul is, it does not please me that one of you comes to me with no money and stays with me for three days while I have a dinar that I do not spend it on a debt upon myself."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ أُحُدًا ذَاكُمْ ذَهَبًا عِنْدِي يَأْتِي عَلَيْهِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلَّا شَيْئًا أَرْصُدُهُ فِي دَيْنٍ عَلَيَّ

[AI] "From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: It does not please me that I die while having any gold, either a dinar or half of a dinar, unless I have given it to a debtor."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا أَمُوتُ يَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ أَوْ نِصْفُ دِينَارٍ إِلَّا أَنْ أَرْصُدَهُ لِغَرِيمٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I do not like to have anything equivalent to a mountain of gold. Shu'bah said or he said, "I do not like to have even a dinar or half a dinar remaining from it on the day I die, except for a debt."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا قَالَ شُعْبَةُ أَوْ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا أَدَعُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ أَمُوتُ دِينَارًا أَوْ نِصْفَ دِينَارٍ إِلَّا لِغَرِيمٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "I do not like to have the equivalent of Uhud mountain in gold." Shu'bah said, or he said, "I do not like to have even a single gold coin from it, except for a debt that I owe."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا قَالَ شُعْبَةُ أَوْ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا أَدَعُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ أَمُوتُ دِينَارًا أَوْ نِصْفَ دِينَارٍ إِلَّا لِغَرِيمٍ

[AI] I heard Abu Al-Qasim peace be upon him say, "It does not please me that anyone owes me gold, and I have a dinar from it that I keep as a debt upon me."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّ أُحُدًا لِي ذَهَبًا يَأْتِي عَلَيَّ ثَلَاثٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ غَيْرَ شَيْءٍ أَرْصُدُهُ فِي دَيْنٍ عَلَيَّ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ فيما أعلم لو كان لي مثل أحد ذهبا لسرني أن أنفقه في سبيل الله لا يأتي على ثالثة وعندي منه دينار أو درهم إلاَّ شيئا أرصده لدين علي

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ ما يسرني أن لي أحدا ذهبا أموت يوم أموت وعندي منها درهم إلا درهما أرصده لغريم

"لَوْ أن لِي مِثْلَ أُحُد ذَهبًا مَا سَرَّنى أنْ يَأتِيَ عَلَيَّ ثَلاثُ لَيَالٍ وَعِنْدِي منْهُ إِلَّا شَيء أَرْصُدُه لَدِينٍ".

"لَوْ كَانَ لِي مِثْلُ أحُد ذَهَبًا لَسَرَّنِى أن لا يَمُر عَلَيّ ثَلاث وعنْدى منه شَيء إِلا شَيء أرصُدُهْ لدَين".

"مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أُحُدًا تَحَوَّلَ لِي ذَهَبًا يَمْكُثُ عندي منه دينارٌ فوق ثلاثٍ، إلا دينارٌ أرْصُدُه لدينٍ".

"مَا أُحِبُّ أن أُحُدًا عِندِي ذهبًا، فَيَأتِى عَلَيَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وعِنْدِى منه شيءٌ إلا شيءٌ أرْصُدُه في قضاءِ دين".

"مَا يَسُرُّنِى أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهبًا، يأتِي عَلَيَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي دِينَارٌ إِلَّا أَنْ أَرْصُدَهُ لِغَريمٍ".

"مَا يَسُرِّنِى أَن لِي أُحُدًا ذَهبًا، يأتِي عَليهِ ثَالثَةٌ، وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ دِينَارٌ إِلَّا دِينارًا أَرْصُدُهُ لِدينٍ عَلَيَّ".
