“I would not like to have (the equivalent of) Uhud in gold, then a third night comes to me and I have anything of it left, except something that I set aside to pay off a debt.”  

ابن ماجة:٤١٣٢حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سُهَيْلِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أُحُدًا عِنْدِي ذَهَبًا فَتَأْتِي عَلَىَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ شَىْءٌ إِلاَّ شَىْءٌ أُرْصِدُهُ فِي قَضَاءِ دَيْنٍ

Nothing is more delighting to me than this that Uhud should be of gold for me, and no dinar is left with me out of it before three nights pass except a dinar which I would set aside for the repayment of debt upon me.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I do not like to have any gold with me for three nights while I have some of it, without finding someone to accept it from me except that I settle it in a debt that I owe."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I do not like that one of you spends all of his gold every day, and he comes to me with nothing but a small amount, which he intends to pay off a debt."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أُحُدَكُمْ هَذَا ذَهَبًا أُنْفِقُ مِنْهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ فَيَمُرُّ بِي ثَلَاثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا شَيْئًا أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ
