When anyone amongst you wakes up from sleep, he must not put his hand in the utensil till he has washed it three times, for he does not know where his hand was during the night.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلاَ يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلاَثًا فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

"When any one of you wakes from sleep, let him not dip his hand in (the water he uses for) his Wudu' until he has washed it three times, for none of you knows where his hand spent the night."

I heard the Messenger of Allah (May Peace be upon him) say: When any of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand in the utensil until he washes it three times, for none of you knows where his hand remained during the night or where it went round.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ أَوْ أَيْنَ كَانَتْ تَطُوفُ يَدُهُ

The Messenger of Allah said: "When anyone of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'When anyone of oyu gets up from sleep and wants to perform ablution, he should not put his hand into the vessel he used for ablution until he has washed it, because he does not know where his hand spent the night or where he put it.'" [(One of the narrators) Abu Ishaq said: "What is correct is that it is narrated from Jabir, from Abu Hurairah."]

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ النَّوْمِ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي وَضُوئِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ وَلاَ عَلَى مَا وَضَعَهَا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'zZinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you wake up from sleep to pray, wash your hands before you put them in the wudu water, for you do not know where your hands have spent the night."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلْيَغْسِلْ يَدَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُدْخِلَهَا فِي وَضُوئِهِ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If one of you is asleep and then wakes up and wants to perform ablution, he should not put his hand in the container until he pours water onto his hand, for he does not know where his hand has spent the night."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَأَحَدُكُمْ نَائِمًا ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظَ فَأَرَادَ الْوُضُوءَ فَلَا يَضَعْ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَصُبَّ عَلَى يَدِهِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When anyone amongst you wakes up from sleep at night, he should not put his hand in the utensil until he has washed his hand three times, for he does’ not know where his hand was during the night. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 103)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلَا يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ؟

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up, let him not put his hand into his utensil or his vessel, or, he said, into his ablution water, until he washes it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ أَوْ قَالَ فِي وَضُوئِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثَمَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[Machine] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand in the ablution water until he washes it, for none of you knows where his hand has spent the night."

[Machine] Narrated by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ : When one of you wakes up from sleep and wants to perform ablution (washing before prayer), they should not dip their hand into the vessel until they have washed it, as they do not know where their hand has spent the night.

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "When one of you wakes up from his sleep, let him not dip his hand in his container of water until he pours it over it (the hand) and washes it, for he does not know where his hand spent the night."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْمَنَامِهِ فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي طَهُورِهِ حَتَّى يُفْرِغَ عَلَيْهَا فَيَغْسِلَهَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

The Messenger of Allah said: "When anyone of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 394)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي الْوَضُوءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثًا»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ أَوْ قَالَ فِي وَضُوئِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "If one of you is sleeping and then wakes up and wants to perform ablution, do not put his hand in the vessel until he pours water on his hand, for he does not know where his hand has spent the night."

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم إذا استيقظ أحدكم فلا يضع يده في الغسل أو قال في الماء حتى يغسلها ثلاثًا فإنه لا يدري أين باتت يده

اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إذا قام أحدكم من الليل فلا يدخل يده في الإناء حتى يغسلها ثلاثا فإنه لا يدري أين باتت يده

اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال إذا قام أحدكم من الليل فلا يدخل يده في الإناء حتى يغسلها ثلاث مرات فإنه لا يدري أين باتت يده مليح بن عبد الله السعدي مدني

اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إذا استيقظ أحدكم من منامه فلا يغمس يده في طهوره حتى يفرغ عليها فيغسلها فإنه لا يدري أين باتت يده

اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إذا قام احدكم من الليل فلا يدخل يده في الإناء حتى يغسلها ثلاث مرات فإنه لا يدري أين بات يده

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قال إذا استيقظ أحدكم من نومه فلا يغمس يده في الإناء حتى يغسلها أبو أيوب عَن أبي هُرَيرة

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قال إذا استيقظ أحدكم من نومه فلا يدخل يده في الإناء حتى يغسلها فإنه لا يدري أظنه قال أين باتت يدهوهذا الحديث رواه ابن عُيَينة وغيره عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عَن أَبِي سَلَمَة عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة وجمع مَعْمَر بين سَعِيد وأبي سلمة

"إذَا قامَ أحدُكمْ مِنَ اللَّيلِ فلا يغمسْ يدهُ في الإناءِ حتَّى يغْسِلَها ثلاث مرات؛ فإِنَّه لا يدرى أينَ باتَتْ يدُهُ".

The Messenger of Allah said: "When anyone of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 394)

"إِذَا استيقظَ أحدُكم مِنْ نومِه فلا يُدخلْ يدَهُ الإِناءَ حتى يغسلَها".

I heard the Messenger of Allah (May Peace be upon him) say: When any of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand in the utensil until he washes it three times, for none of you knows where his hand remained during the night or where it went round. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 105)

"إِذَا استيقظ أحدُكم من نومِه فلا يُدخلْ يدَه في الإناءِ حتَّى يغسلَها ثلاثًا، فإنَّ أحدَكم لا يدْرى أينَ باتت يده" .

"إِذَا استيقظَ أحدُكم مِنْ مَنَامه فلا يغمسْ يَده في الإناءِ حتى يغسلها ثم ليتوضأ، فإن غمس يدَه في الإناء من قبلِ أنْ يغسلها فْليُرِقْ ذلك الماءَ".

"When any one of you wakes from sleep, let him not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it three times, because he does not know where his hand spent the night." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 161)

"إِذَا استيقظَ أحدُكم مِنْ منامِه فلا يُدْخلْ يدَهُ فِي الإناء حتَّى يغْسلهَا؛ فإنه لَا يَدْرِي أينَ بَاتَتْ يَدُه مِنْهُ، وَيُسمَى قَبْلَ أنْ يُدْخِلهَا".
