The Prophet ﷺ said, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount (Kauthar) and some men amongst you will be brought to me, and when I will try to hand them some water, they will be pulled away from me by force whereupon I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' Then the Almighty will say, 'You do not know what they did after you left, they introduced new things into the religion after you.'"

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ لَيُرْفَعَنَّ إِلَىَّ رِجَالٌ مِنْكُمْ حَتَّى إِذَا أَهْوَيْتُ لأُنَاوِلَهُمُ اخْتُلِجُوا دُونِي فَأَقُولُ أَىْ رَبِّ أَصْحَابِي يَقُولُ لاَ تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount, and some of you will be brought in front of me till I will see them and then they will be taken away from me and I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' It will be said, 'You do not know what they did after you had left.'

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ وَلَيُرْفَعَنَّ رِجَالٌ مِنْكُمْ ثُمَّ لَيُخْتَلَجُنَّ دُونِي فَأَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ أَصْحَابِي فَيُقَالُ إِنَّكَ لاَ تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ

My Lord, they are my friends, they are my friends, and it would be said: You don't know what innovations they made after you.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ وَلأُنَازِعَنَّ أَقْوَامًا ثُمَّ لأُغْلَبَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ فَأَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ أَصْحَابِي أَصْحَابِي فَيُقَالُ إِنَّكَ لاَ تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ وَسَأُنَازَعُ رِجَالًا فَأُغْلَبُ عَلَيْهِمْ فَلَأَقُولَنَّ رَبِّ أُصَيْحَابِي أُصَيْحَابِي فَلَيُقَالَنَّ لِي إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I will be waiting for you at the Hawd (the Pool) on the Day of Resurrection, and some men will be driven away from me, so I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' And it will be said to me, 'You do not know what they innovated after you.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ وَلَيُخْتَلَجَنَّ رِجَالٌ دُونِي فَأَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ أَصْحَابِي فَيُقَالُ إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ

أَنَا فَرَطُكُمُ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ فَلَأُنَازِعَنَّ أَقْوَامًا فَلَأُغْلَبَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ فَأَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ أَصْحَابِي فَيُقَالُ إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ نا جَرِيرٌ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِنَحْوِهِ

اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمُ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ فَلَأُنَازِعَنَّ أَقْوَامًا فَلَأُغْلَبَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ فَأَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ أَصْحَابِي فَيُقَالُ إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

"أَنا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الحَوْض، وَلأُنازعَنَّ أَقوامًا، ثُمَّ لأُغْلَبَنَّ عَلَيْهم فَأَقُول يَا رَبِّ أَصْحَابى، فَيُقالُ إِنَّكَ لا تدرى مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَك".

"لا أُلفِيَنَّ مَا نُوزِعْتُ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَلَى الحَوْضِ فَأقُولُ: إِنَّهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي، فَيُقَالُ: إِنَّكَ لا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ".
