[Machine] "And I consider him to be Abdullah's son, but they say loyalty belongs to the oldest. He means by the oldest, the closest to a father."  

البيهقي:٢١٤٩٤أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أنبأ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنبأ أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ كَانَ عُمَرُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ؓ قَالَ

وَأَحْسِبُهُ ذَكَرَ عَبْدَ اللهِ ؓ يَقُولُونَ الْوَلَاءُ لِلْأَكْبَرِ قَالَ يَعْنِي بِالْأَكْبَرِ أَقْرَبَهُمْ بِأَبٍ
