[Machine] Two men came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with the same need. One of them spoke and found that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had something different in mind, so he asked him, "Do you have any dates (to give)?" He replied, "Yes, but I have not eaten from three dates." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered one of his companions to give him some dates, and he fulfilled his need. This is the wording of the hadith of Ibn 'Abdan.  

البيهقي:١٦٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ أنا دَعْلَجُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ جُنَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا النُّفَيْلِيُّ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا ابْنُ مَلْحَانَ ثنا عَمْرٌو هُوَ ابْنُ خَالِدٍ أنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا قَابُوسُ بْنُ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

أَتَى رَجُلَانِ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حَاجَتُهُمَا وَاحِدَةٌ فَتَكَلَّمَ أَحَدُهُمَا فَوَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ فِيهِ إِخْلَافًا فَقَالَ لَهُ أَمَا تَسْتَاكُ؟ قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنِّي لَمْ أَطْعَمْ مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ فَأَمَرَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَآوَاهُ وَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَبْدَانَ وَهَكَذَا  

رَوَاهُ جَمَاعَةٌ عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ

[Machine] Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encountered two men who had the same need. One of them spoke and the Prophet found something disagreeable in his speech, so he asked him, "Don't you feel ashamed?" The man replied, "I do, but I have not eaten any food for three days." So, the Prophet commanded someone to feed him and fulfill his need.  

أحمد:٢٤٠٩ – حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ قَابُوسَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

جَاءَ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلانِ حَاجَتُهُمَا وَاحِدَةٌ فَتَكَلَّمَ أَحَدُهُمَا فَوَجَدَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ فِيهِ إِخْلافًا فَقَالَ لَهُ أَلا تَسْتَاكُ؟ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَأَفْعَلُ وَلَكِنِّي لَمْ أَطْعَمْ طَعَامًا مُنْذُ ثَلاثٍ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ رَجُلًا فَآوَاهُ وَقَضَى لَهُ حَاجَتَهُ  

tabarani:12611 – Muḥammad b. al-Naḍr al-Azdī > Aḥmad b. ʿAbd al-Malik b. Wāqid al-Ḥarrānī > Zuhayr > Qābūs b. Abū Ẓabyān from his father > Ibn ʿAbbās

[Machine] Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encountered two men who had the same request. He greeted one of them and noticed some differences in his appearance. The Prophet asked him, "Have you had food?" The man replied, "I have not had any food for three days." So, the Prophet instructed someone to bring him food and fulfill his request.  

الطبراني:١٢٦١١ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا قَابُوسُ بْنُ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

جَاءَ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلَانِ حَاجَتُهُمَا وَاحِدَةٌ فَسَلَّمَ أَحَدُهُمَا فَوَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ فِيهِ أَخْلَافًا فَقَالَ لَهُ «أَمَا تَسْتَاكُ؟» قَالَ إِنِّي لِأَفْعَلُ وَلَكِنْ لَمْ أَطْعَمْ طَعَامًا مُنْذُ ثَلَاثٍ «فَأَمَرَ بِهِ رَجُلًا فَأَقْرَاهُ وَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ»
