[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said to those who had embraced Islam, "Fast today." They replied, "But we have already eaten." He said, "Then fast the rest of your day, meaning the day of Ashura."

أحمد:٢٠٣٢٩ – حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ عَنْ عَمِّهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِأَسْلَمَ صُومُوا الْيَوْمَ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا قَدْ أَكَلْنَا قَالَ صُومُوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِكُمْ يَعْنِي يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ
