[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said to the newly converted Muslims, 'Fast this day.' They said, 'We have already eaten.' He said, 'Then fast the rest of your day, meaning the day of Ashura.'"  

أحمد:٢٣١١٧ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْمِنْهَالِ أَوْ ابْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّعَنْ عَمِّهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِأَسْلَمَ صُومُوا الْيَوْمَ قَالُوا إِنَّا قَدْ أَكَلْنَا قَالَ صُومُوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِكُمْ يَعْنِي يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ
