Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever usurps the land of somebody unjustly, his neck will be encircled with it down the seven earths (on the Day of Resurrection). "

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ ظَلَمَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ شَيْئًا طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

from Abu Salama bin ʿAbdur-Rahman who had a dispute with some people on a piece of land, and so he went to ʿAisha and told her about it. She said, "O Abu Salama, avoid the land, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever takes even a hand span of land unjustly, seven earths will be put round him ˹as punishmnet

يَا أَبَا سَلَمَةَ اجْتَنِبِ الأَرْضَ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ ظَلَمَ قِيدَ شِبْرٍ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Any person who takes a piece of land unjustly will sink down the seven earths on the Day of Resurrection."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَنْ أَخَذَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهِ خُسِفَ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَى سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

Are you not aware that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had observed:" He who died in protecting his property is a martyr."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ

He who wrongly took a span of land, Allah shall make him carry around his neck seven earths.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الأَرْضِ ظُلْمًا طَوَّقَهُ اللَّهُ إِيَّاهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

I heard Allah's Apostle ﷺ say: He who took a span of earth wrongly would be made to wear around his neck seven earths on the Day of Resurrection.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الأَرْضِ ظُلْمًا فَإِنَّهُ يُطَوَّقُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

One should not take a span of land without having legitimate right to it, otherwise Allah would make him wear (around his neck) seven earths on the Day of Resurrection.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَأْخُذُ أَحَدٌ شِبْرًا مِنَ الأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهِ إِلاَّ طَوَّقَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَى سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever oppresses even a handspan on earth, his neck will be encircled with it from seventy lands."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ ظَلَمَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ شِبْرًا فَإِنَّهُ يُطَوَّقُهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ»

Are you not aware that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had observed:" He who died in protecting his property is a martyr." (Using translation from Muslim 141a)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ وَمَنْ ظَلَمَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ شِبْرًا طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

[AI] "Whoever takes a handspan of land unjustly will be encircled with it on the Day of Resurrection down to seven earths." Ibn Numayr said: "From seven earths."

«مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الأَرْضِ ظُلْمًا، طُوِّقَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَى سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ». قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ: مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ.

[AI] "He (the narrator) heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, 'Whoever steals a handspan of land, a collar from seven earths will be wrapped around his neck.' Ma'mar said, 'It was mentioned to me by Az-Zuhri, but I did not hear it from him. He added in this hadith: 'And whoever is killed over his wealth, he is a martyr.'"

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ سَرَقَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ شِبْرًا طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ وَبَلَغَنِي عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ مِنْهُ زَادَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَمَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever usurps the land of somebody unjustly, his neck will be encircled with it down the seven earths (on the Day of Resurrection). " (Using translation from Bukhārī 2452)

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ ظَلَمَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ شَيْئًا فَإِنَّهُ يُطَوَّقُهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Whoever oppresses anything on the earth, he will be surrounded by it in seven lands."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ ظَلَمَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ شَيْئًا فَإِنَّهُ يُطَوَّقُهُ فِي سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "Whoever takes something from the earth unjustly, he will be swallowed by it to the depth of seven earths."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَخَذَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ ظُلْمًا خُسِفَ بِهِ إِلَى سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he said: "Whoever wrongfully takes even a hand span from the earth will be surrounded by collars from seven earths."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَخَذَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ شِبْرًا بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهِ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever unjustly takes a handful of land, seven earths will be tied around his neck."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهِ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ: Whoever wrongfully takes even a hand-span of land will be encircled by it on the Day of Judgment across seven continents.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَنْ اقْتَطَعَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهِ طُوِّقَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَى سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

“Whoever is killed defending his property, he is a martyr.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2580)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allahﷺ say, "Whoever oppresses even by a handspan on the earth, Allah will encircle him with seven earths on the Day of Judgment."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ ظَلَمَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ شِبْرًا طَوَّقَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ « مَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ وَمَنْ ظَلَمَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ شِبْرًا طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever takes a span of land unjustly, a collar made of seven earths will be placed around his neck."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهِ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ»

[AI] Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever unlawfully takes even a span of land, he will be encircled with a shackle from the seven layers of the Earth."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَخَذَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ شِبْرًا بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever wrongs even by a span on the Earth, a collar of seven Earths will be placed around his neck on the Day of Resurrection."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ ظَلَمَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ شِبْرًا طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whosoever oppresses others even to the extent of a hand's breadth, Allah will make him bear the consequences of it by digging for him a pit in the Earth until he reaches the seven Earths, and then tying him up on the Day of Judgment until he settles matters between people."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ ظَلَمَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ كَلَّفَهُ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَحْفِرَهُ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ سَبْعَ أَرَضِينَ ثُمَّ يُطَوَّقُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يَفْصِلَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهِ طُوِّقَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ مِنْ طُرُقٍ وَابْنُ عُمَرَ وَيَعْلَى بْنُ مُرَّةَ وَغَيْرُهُمْ

قَال قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الأَرْضِ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قال من ظلم أَحسَبُهُ قال شِبْرًا مِنَ الأَرْضِ طَوَّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

قال من أخذ شبرا من الأرض بغير حقه طوقه من سبع أرضين

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الأَرْضِ طَوَّقَهُ أو طوقها من سبع أرضين

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الأَرْضِ بغير حقه يوم القيامة من سبع أرضين

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever unjustly diminishes even a handspan of the earth, Allah will encircle him on the Day of Judgment from seven earths."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنِ انْتَقَصَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ ظُلْمًا طَوَّقَهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever takes from the path of the Muslims a handspan, he will come with it on the Day of Resurrection carrying it from seven earths."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَخَذَ مِنْ طَرِيقِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ شِبْرًا جَاءَ بِهِ يَحْمِلُهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever wrongs even a handspan's worth of land, a collar of it will be put around his neck from seven earths, and whoever is killed unjustly, then he is a martyr."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ ظَلَمَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ وَمَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ»

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Whoever takes anything from the earth will be held accountable for it on the Day of Judgment from seven dimensions."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ أَخَذَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ قُلِّدَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Whoever takes an inch of land unjustly, it will be wrapped around his neck on the Day of Judgment from seven earths."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ ظُلْمًا طُوِّقَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever oppresses even by a handspan on the earth, his burden will be placed on him on the Day of Resurrection until he reaches the water, and then it will be carried to the gathering place."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ ظَلَمَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ شِبْرًا فَمَا فَوْقَهُ كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَحْمِلَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ الْمَاءَ ثُمَّ يَحْمِلُهُ إِلَى الْمَحْشَرِ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ ظَلَمَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ شَيْئًا فَإِنَّهُ يُطَوَّقُهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ ظَلَمَ قِيدَ شِبْرٍ مِنْ أَرْضٍ طُوِّقَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever takes a span of land unjustly will be surrounded by it from seven lands."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهِ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ

ʿwhoever is killed defending his wealth is a martyr.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 590)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ

"مَا مِنْ أَحَد أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِن الأَرْضِ بغَيرِ حَقِّه إلا طُوَّقَه من سَبْع أَرَضِينَ، لَا يَقْبلُ الله مِنْه صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا".

"مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الأَرْضِ بِغَيرِ حَقِّهِ، طُوِّقهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيامة".

"مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الأَرْضِ بغير حَقِّهِ طُوِّقَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيامةِ إِلَى سَبْعِ أَرَضِين".

"مَنْ أخَذَ شَيئًا مِنَ الأَرْضِ قلَّدَهُ اللهُ يومَ القِيامَةِ مِنْ سَبْع أَرضِين".

"مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الأرْضِ ظُلمًا، طُوِّقَه يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ سَبع أَرَضِين".

"مَنْ أخَذَ مِنَ الأرْضِ شَيئًا بغَيرِ حَقِّه خُسِفَ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَى سَبع أَرَضِين".

"مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ شِبْرًا مِن الأَرْضِ بِغَيرِ حَقِّهِ، طَوَّقَهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَى سَبْعْ أَرَضِين".

"مَنِ انْتَقَصَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الأرْضِ ظُلْمًا، طَوَّقَهُ الله إِيَّاهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ سَبْع أَرَضِينَ".

"مَنْ سَرقَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ شِبْرًا طَوَّقَه (الله) مِن سَبعِ أَرَضِينَ".

"لا يَأخُذُ أَحَدٌ شِبْرًا مِنْ الأرْضِ بِغيرِ حَقِّهِ إلا طَوَّقَهُ اللهُ إِلَى سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ".
