ahmad-zuhd:867ʿAbdullāh from my father > ʿAbd al-Raḥman > Qurrah > ʿAwn b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUtbah

[Machine] Abdullah said, "Knowledge is not about the abundance of narration, but rather knowledge is fearing (Allah)."  

الزهد لأحمد:٨٦٧حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ لَيْسَ الْعِلْمُ بِكَثْرَةِ الرِّوَايَةِ وَلَكِنَّ الْعِلْمَ الْخَشْيَةُ
