[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Abu Bakr did not appoint a judge, and the first person to practice qada (judicial duties) was Umar. Umar said to him, "Keep the people away from me regarding the dirham and dirhamayn(few silver coins)."  

الطبراني:٦٦٦٢حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ ؓ لَمْ يَتَّخِذَا قَاضِيًا وَأَوَّلُ مَنِ اسْتَقْضَى عُمَرُ ؓ قَالَ لَهُ رُدَّ عَنِّي النَّاسَ فِي الدِّرْهَمِ وَالدِّرْهَمَيْنِ
