[Machine] On the authority of Uqbah ibn 'Amr and Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari, they said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform voluntary prayers occasionally at the beginning and middle of the night to make it easy for the Muslims."  

الطبراني:١٤٨١٠ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رُسْتَه الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ ثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ زُفَرَ عَنْ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ

عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَأَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ أَنَّهُمَا قَالَا «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوتِرُ أَحْيَانًا أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ وَوَسَطَهُ لِيَكُونَ سَعَةً لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ»

"عَنْ عقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: كانَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ يُوتِرُ أَحْيَانًا أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَحْيَانًا أَوْسَطَهُ وَأَحْيَانًا آخِرَهُ، لِيَكُونَ سَعَة لِلْمُسْلِمِين أَى ذَلِكَ أَخَذُوا بِهِ كانَ صَوَابًا".
