[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to delay the 'Atamah prayer until one-third of the night, thus it was named 'Atamah because he would darken it with it."  

الطبراني:١٢٨٩٠حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُؤْمِنِ ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ فَرُّوخَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُؤَخِّرُ الْعَتَمَةَ إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ فَلِذَلِكَ سُمِّيَتِ الْعَتَمَةَ لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ يُعْتِمُ بِهَا»
