[Machine] It was said to Ibn Abbas: "Mu'awiyah prayed an extra unit (rak'ah)." He responded, "Leave Mu'awiyah alone, for he used to accompany the Prophet."  

الطبراني:١١٢٤٧ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مُكْرَمٍ ثنا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ

قِيلَ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ إِنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ أَوْتَرَ بِرَكْعَةٍ فَقَالَ «دَعَوْنَا مِنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ صَحِبَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ»
