٧۔ بَابُ الْحاءِ ص ١٨

[Machine] Translation: Al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib, also known as Abu Muhammad, was born. His birth, his qualities, and his death are described.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I not tell you about five things which Allah has commanded me? They are: the Jama'ah (community of Muslims), listening and obeying (the Muslim leaders), hijrah (migration for the sake of Allah), striving and struggling in the cause of Allah. Whoever separates himself from the Jama'ah by a handspan has removed the yoke of Islam from his neck, unless he repents. And whoever calls to the ways of jahiliyyah (ignorance) is from the inhabitants of Hellfire." A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, even if he prays and fasts?" He replied, "Even if he prays and fasts, he should call himself with the call of Allah, by which He has named you, 'Muslims, believers, worshipers of Allah'."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage in the middle of the days of al-Adha, "Is not this day a sacred day?" They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Indeed, the sanctity between you until the Day of Resurrection is like the sanctity of this day." Then he said, "Shall I inform you who the Muslim is? The Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe. Shall I inform you who the believer is? The believer is one whom the Muslims trust with their lives and their blood. Shall I inform you who the emigrant is? The emigrant is one who abandons evil deeds and what Allah has prohibited. The believer's sanctity is like the sanctity of this day; his flesh is forbidden for another believer to consume, his honor is forbidden for another believer to violate, and hitting him is forbidden for another believer. It is also forbidden for him to be expelled with animosity."

[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ when Harmlah bin Zaid came to him and sat in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Harmlah said, "O Messenger of Allah, faith is here," pointing with his hand towards his tongue, "and hypocrisy is here," pointing with his hand to his chest, "and Allah is not mentioned except a little." The Prophet ﷺ remained silent. Harmlah repeated the statement to him, and Harmlah fell silent. The Prophet ﷺ took hold of the tip of Harmlah's tongue and said, "O Allah, make his tongue truthful and his heart grateful, and provide him with love for me and love for those who love me, and make his affair good." Harmlah said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have hypocritical brothers. I used to be among them. Shall I not expose them to you?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "No, as long as they come to us as you came to us, we will seek forgiveness for them as we sought forgiveness for you. But whoever insists on his sin, Allah is more entitled to deal with him. And do not breach anyone's trust."

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed Allah commanded Yahya bin Zakariyya with five commandments to abide by, and to command the Children of Isra'il to abide by them. But he was slow in doing so. So 'Eisa said: 'Indeed Allah commanded you with five commandments to abide by and to command the Children of Isra'il to abide by. Either you command them, or I shall command them.' So Yahya said: 'I fear that if you precede me in this, then the earth may swallow me, or I shall be punished.' So he gathered the people in Jerusalem, and they filled [the Masjid] and sat upon its balconies. So he said: 'Indeed Allah has commanded me with five commandments to abide by, and to command you to abide by. The first of them is that you worship Allah and not associate anything with him. The parable of the one who associates others with Allah is that of a man who buys a servant with his own gold or silver, then he says to him: "This is my home and this is my business so take care of it and give me the profits." So he takes care of it and gives the profits to someone other than his master. Which of you would live to have a servant like that? And Allah commands you to perform Salat, and when you perform Salat then do not turn away, for Allah is facing the face of His worshipers as long as he does not turn away. And He commands you with fasting. For indeed the parable of fasting, is that of a man in a group with a sachet containing musk. All of them enjoy its fragrance. Indeed the breath of the fasting person is more pleasant to Allah than the scent of musk. And He commands you to give charity. The parable of that, is a man captured by his enemies, tying his hands to his neck, and they come to him to beat his neck. Then he said: "I can ransom myself from you with a little or a lot" so he ransoms himself from them. And He commands you to remember Allah. For indeed the parable of that, is a man whose enemy quickly tracks him until he reaches an impermeable fortress in which he protects himself from them. This is how the worshiper is; he does not protect himself from Ash-Shaitan except by the remembrance of Allah.'" The Prophet ﷺ said: "And I command you with five that Allah commanded me: Listening and obeying, Jihad, Hijrah, and the Jama'ah. For indeed whoever parts from the Jama'ah the measure of a hand-span, then he has cast off the yoke of Islam from his neck, unless he returns. And whoever calls with the call of Jahiliyyah then he is from the coals of Hell." A man said: "O Messenger of Allah! Even if he performs Salat and fasts?" that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed Allah commanded Yahya bin Zakariyya with five commandments to abide by, and to command the Children of Isra'il to abide by them. Even if he performs Salat and fasts?" [Machine] "He and his companions arrived in a boat, and with him was a gray horse. When they were sent, they found many camels from the polytheists, so they took them. Abu Malik commanded them to sacrifice a camel so that they could seek assistance from it. Then, he continued on foot until he reached the Prophet ﷺ and informed him of his journey, companions, and the camels they obtained. Then, he returned to his companions, and those who were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Give us, O Messenger of Allah, from these camels.' He said, 'Go to Abu Malik.' When they came to him, he divided them into five parts and sent one part to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He took one-third of what remained after the fifth and divided it among his companions, and he divided the remaining two-thirds among the Muslims. So, it was divided among them."

[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ when this verse was revealed: "Do not ask about things that, if they are made known to you, will harm you." He said, "We used to ask him, so he said, 'Indeed, Allah has servants who are neither prophets nor martyrs, and the prophets and martyrs envy them due to their closeness to Allah and their position on the Day of Resurrection.'" A Bedouin man from the people stood up, knelt on his knees, raised his hands, and then said, "Tell us, O Messenger of Allah, who are they?" I saw the face of the Prophet ﷺ lighten up, and he said, "They are people from different lands and tribes who have no family ties to one another, except for their connection to Allah. They do not exchange material possessions, but they love one another for the sake of Allah. Allah will make their faces shine with light, and He will grant them pulpits of pearls in the presence of the Most Merciful. Ibn al-Musaffa added from here: If anyone is wounded in Allah's path, or suffers a misfortune, it will come on the Day of resurrection as copious as possible, its colour saffron, and its odour musk; and if anyone suffers from ulcers while in Allah's path, he will have on him the stamp of the martyrs.
