[Machine] "He bears witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. I asked, 'Do you bear witness that Abdullah is also a messenger?' He replied, 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah used to like to make things easy for his ummah (followers). I said, 'How should I bear witness that Ali is the messenger?' He said, 'The greetings are for Allah, and the prayers and the good things. The gifts, the fragrances, the pure things are for Allah.'"

[Machine] I heard Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever wears a famous garment, Allah will turn away from him on the Day of Resurrection.'"
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ hid tobacco for Ibn Said, so he asked him about what he had hidden for him. He said, "Smoke." He said, "No, you should become angry as you will not be able to control yourself." When he departed, the Prophet ﷺ asked, "What did he say?" Some of them said, "He said 'Dukh' (smoke)." And some of them said, "No, he said 'Zukh'." The Prophet ﷺ said, "You have differed while I am among you. You will differ even more after me."

[Machine] That when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ hid tobacco for Ibn Sa'id, he asked him what he had hidden for him. Ibn Sa'id replied, "It is tobacco." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Disgrace be upon you, for you will not reach your appointed time." When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left, the people asked, "What did he say?" Some of them said, "He said 'dhuqu' (smoke)." Others said, "No, he said 'zukh' (tar)." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "This is while you are with me, yet you differ. So, after me, you will have even greater disagreements."

[Machine] A woman from the family of Husayn made some food in one of his lands and she fed (someone). Then the food was taken away and his supporter came and called for the food. He said: "O Abu Abdullah, I do not want it." He asked: "Why not?" He replied: "We ate before at Ubaydullah ibn Abbas's." Husayn said: "Verily, his father was the leader of Quraysh. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'O sons of Abdul-Muttalib, feed people with food and speak kind words.'"

[Machine] Abdul Muttalib married Hala, the daughter of Uhayb ibn Abdul Manaf ibn Zuhrah, and she gave birth to his sons Hamza and Safiyyah.
[Machine] About Urwah regarding the naming of those who participated in the Battle of Badr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , Hamza bin Abdul Mutallib.
[Machine] About Ibn Shihab’s naming of those who witnessed the Battle of Badr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , Hamza ibn Abdul-Muttalib ibn Abd Manaf.
[Machine] "Abdul-Muttalib, I went to Yemen on one of my annual trading journeys, and I stayed with a man from the Jews. A man from the Deyar tribe saw me and claimed me as his own. He asked if he could examine some of my belongings. I agreed as long as there were no flaws. He opened one of the bags and looked, then he looked in the other bag and said, 'I bear witness that in one of your hands is the kingdom and in the other is prophecy. We find this trait in the Banu Zuhrah tribe. How is this possible?' I replied, 'I do not know.' He asked, 'Do you have any wives?' I replied, 'What is a wife?' He said, 'A wife.' I said, 'No, not today.' He said, 'When you return, marry someone from the Banu Zuhrah tribe.' Abdul-Muttalib returned and married Hala, the daughter of Wahab ibn Abdul Manaf ibn Zuhrah, and she gave birth to Hamza and Safiyyah. Abdul-Muttalib also married his son Abdullah to Aminah, the daughter of Wahb. The Quraysh said that Abdul-Muttalib used to request blessings for his son, and then the Messenger of Allah was born to him. Therefore, Hamza became the brother of the Prophet through wet nursing by Thuwaybah, the slave of Abu Lahab, who was more generous than the Messenger of Allah."

[Machine] I said to the Prophet ﷺ , "Shall I not guide you to the best girl of the Quraysh?" He said, "Who is she?" I said, "She is the daughter of my brother from the nursing relationship."
[Machine] Ali: O Messenger of Allah, do you have the most beautiful girl from your cousin's daughters in the Quraysh?
Prophet Muhammad: Don't you know that Hamza, my brother, is from the same foster mother?
I heard Abu Salih say: ‘Ali ؓ said: I mentioned the daughter of Hamzah (as a potential spouse) to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said: ʿShe is the daughter of my brother through breastfeeding.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 1169)
I said: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, why do I see you choose a wife from among Quraish and you ignore us? He said: ʿHave you anyone to suggest?ʿ I said: Yes, the daughter of Hamzah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “She is the daughter of my brother through breastfeeding.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 914)
It was proposed that he (the Holy Prophet) be married to the daughter of Hamza, whereupon he said: She is not lawful for me for she is the daughter of my foster-brother, and that is unlawful by reason of fosterage what is unlawful by reason of genealogy. (Using translation from Muslim 1447a)
that the Messenger of was offered the daughter of Hamzah bin 'Abdul-Muttalib in marriage, and he said: “She is the daughter of my brother through breastfeeding, and breastfeeding makes unlawful (for marriage) the same things that blood ties make unlawful.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1938)
[Machine] I heard Umm Salamah saying that it was said, "O Messenger of Allah, where are you from Bint Hamzah?" Or it was said, "Don't you propose to Bint Hamzah?" He said, "Hamzah is my brother through breastfeeding."
[Machine] Yes, by Allah, people have seen him. He came forward until he reached that gathering at Safa and Marwa. There they were sitting, and Abu Jahl was among them, leaning against his bow. He said, "I have thrown like this and done like this." Then he gathered his hand with the bow and struck it between the ears of Abu Jahl, causing him pain. Then he said, "Take it with the bow and another with the sword. I bear witness that he is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and that he has brought the truth from Allah." They said, "O Abu Umamah, he insulted our gods. If you were the one and you were better than him, we would have made you our leader. But you, O Abu Umamah, you are obscene."

[Machine] That Abu Jahl confronted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on Mount Safa and insulted him. Hamza, the companion of hunting and fishing, was in his hunting at that time. When he returned, his wife told him what Abu Jahl had done to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She said, "O Abu 'Umarah, if you had seen what Abu Jahl did to your cousin's son?" This made Hamza angry, and he went straight to the mosque with his bow hung around his neck. He found Abu Jahl sitting in a gathering of the Quraysh, and he did not speak to him until he raised his bow over his head and struck him with it. Then some men of the Quraysh rushed to Hamza to hold him back, and Hamza said, "My religion is the religion of Muhammad. I bear witness that he is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. By Allah, I will never turn away from it. So, stop me if you can, if you are truthful." When Hamza accepted Islam, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the Muslims were pleased with him, and some of their affairs were strengthened. This upset the Quraysh and they knew that Hamza would prevent them.

[Machine] That Abu Jahl intercepted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at As-Safa and he harmed him. Hamza, the companion of hunting and capturing, was in his hunting at that time. When he returned, his wife said to him, and she had seen what Abu Jahl did to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "O Abu 'Umarah, if you had seen what Abu Jahl did to your nephew?" So Hamza became angry and went straight to the masjid while he had his bow hanging around his neck until he entered the masjid. He found Abu Jahl sitting in a gathering of Quraysh, but he did not speak to him until he raised his bow above his head and smacked him with it. Then, men from Quraysh stood up to hold him back. Hamza said, "My religion is the religion of Muhammad. I bear witness that he is the Messenger of Allah. By Allah, I will not renounce this, so prevent me if you can." When Hamza embraced Islam, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ felt proud of him, and the Muslims became more steadfast. Quraysh were amazed and they knew that Hamza would defend them.

[Machine] "And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out on Friday, after performing the Friday prayer, and he reached the area of Uhud. They gathered on Saturday, on the fifteenth day of Shawwal, in the third year."
[Machine] "It was the eleventh of Shawwal in the third year."
[Machine] About Muhammad ibn Ishaq's naming of the Muslims who were martyred on the day of Uhud from the Muhajireen, Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalib.
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prepared Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him), he cried, and when he saw his likeness, he wept harder.
[Machine] When Hamza was killed on the Day of Uhud, Safiyyah came seeking him without knowing what had happened. She met Ali and Zubair, and Ali said to Zubair, "Mention it to your mother." Zubair said to Ali, "You mention it to your aunt." She asked, "What did Hamza do?" They both realized that she didn't know, so the Prophet ﷺ came and said, "I fear for her sanity." He placed his hand on her chest and prayed for her, and she regained her composure and wept. Then the Prophet stood up and had the martyrs presented before him. He prayed over nine of them, and Hamza was left aside. Then he called for nine more and prayed over them, performing seven takbeers for each group. After he finished with them,
[Machine] The Prophet of Allah (PBUH) used to pray for the martyrs of Uhud, nine of them, with Hamza being the tenth, until he completed praying for all of them.
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Uhud looked at Hamza, who had been killed and disfigured, and saw a sight he had never seen before that broke his heart and filled him with awe. He said, "May Allah have mercy on you, for you were a means of connecting family ties and a source of good deeds. If it weren't for the sadness that will come after you, I would have been pleased to leave you until various groups come." Then he swore, while standing in his place, "By Allah, I will certainly avenge seventy of them in your place." Then the revelation descended upon him while he was standing in his place, and he did not move until the verse was completed, "And if you punish, then punish with the like of what you were afflicted with. But if you are patient, it is better for those who are patient." Until the end of the surah. The Prophet ﷺ then disavowed what he had intended.
"On the Day of Uhud, sixty-four of the Ansar were killed, and six from the Muhajirin, one of whom was Hamzah, and they mutilated them, so the Ansar said: 'If, (in the future) we are able to kill them on a day like this, we would mutilate from among them as twice as they (mutilate from among us).'" He said: "So on the day of the Conquest of Makkah, Allah revealed: And if you punish them, then punish them with the like of that with which you were afflicted. But if you have patience, then it is better for those who are patient (16:126). So a man said: 'There shall be no Quraish after today.' But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Leave the people, except for four.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3129)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed Hamzah who was killed and disfigured. He said: If Safiyyah were not grieved, I would have left him until the birds and beasts of prey would have eaten him, and he would have been resurrected from their bellies. The garments were scanty and the slain were in great number. So one, two and three persons were shrouded in one garment. The narrator Qutaybah added: They were then buried in one grave. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked: Which of the two learnt the Qur'an more? He then advanced him toward the qiblah (direction of prayer). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3136)
[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated that Muhammad bin Salih Al-Tammar narrated from Yazid bin Zaid, from Abu Usaid Al-Sa'idi, who said: "I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the grave of Hamza bin Abd al-Muttalib. They began dragging thorns on his face, causing his feet to be exposed. Then they dragged them on his feet, causing his face to be exposed. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Place it on his face and place it on his feet with this tree.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his head and saw his companions crying. He said, 'Indeed, a time will come upon people when they will go out to the outskirts and the cities will be better for them if they knew. No one will endure its hardships and difficulties except that I will be his intercessor or a witness for him on the Day of Resurrection.'"
[Machine] "I have seen Hamza, and we did not find a shroud for him, other than a cloak. When we covered his feet with it, his head would be uncovered, and when we covered his head with it, his feet would be uncovered. So we covered his head and placed some idhkhir on his feet."
[Machine] That Hamza had a spot on him, and when it covered his head, his legs would show, and when his legs were covered, his head would show. So the Prophet covered his head and put a tree and stones on his legs.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ wrapped Hamza in a single shroud. Jabir said, "That shroud was a precious one."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ returned on the day of Uhud and heard the women of Banu Abdul Ashhal crying for their dead. He said, "But Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) does not have anyone mourning for him." Then the women of the Ansar came and cried for Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) in his presence. He woke up and saw them crying, and he said, "Woe to them! They will remain here until today, burdened. Let them go back and not cry for the deceased after today."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I entered paradise last night, and I saw Hamza resting on a bed."
[Machine] When Hamza and his companions were injured on the day of Uhud, they said, "We wish that those who came after us knew the rewards that Allah has granted us as a result, so they could reap the same rewards." And Allah said, "I will inform them," so Allah revealed the blessed verse, "And do not think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead."
[Machine] About how he killed Hamza, may Allah have mercy on him? So we approached him and met a man while we were asking about him. He said, "He is a man who has been overcome by this alcohol. If you find him sober, you will find him an Arab man who can tell you whatever stories you want to hear. And if you find him otherwise, then leave him." So we went to him and found him in his courtyard. He looked at Ubaidullah ibn Adi and said, "Ibn Adi ibn Khayar?" He said yes. He said, "I have not seen you since your mother, Al-Sa'adiyya, handed you over to me. It was only when your feet sparkled that I recognized you." He said, "I said to him, 'We came to you to inform us about how you killed Hamza?' He said, 'I was a servant of Jubayr ibn Mut'im, and his uncle was Tu'a'imah ibn Adi. He was killed on the day of Badr. He said, 'If you kill the uncle of Muhammad, my uncle, then you are free.' So I left on the day of Uhud with people, carrying my weapon. My only concern was to achieve freedom, so I attacked Hamza, and Sabaa' ibn Abdul Uzza attacked him as well. I backed off, and he killed Sabaa' while he was cutting people with his sword, like a thirsty camel. When Sabaa' approached him, Hamza said, 'Come, O son of Muktah, the one who cuts off the tails.' So I approached him, and he hit me and I protected myself with something, and I became furious until I was done with it. When I was done, I struck at him and the blow landed on his collarbone. Then I left and retreated and abandoned the fight. I returned among the people to Makkah and I was freed. When Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , conquered Makkah, I went to Ta'if and stayed there. When the people of Ta'if agreed to make peace with Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , I was confused about where to go. While I was in my thoughts, a man appeared to me and said, 'Why do I see you like this?' I said, 'I have received news about my uncle, and I see these people have agreed upon peace. I do not know where to go.' He said, 'By Allah, he does not kill anyone who comes to him and proclaims his testimony. So I left just as I am, and by Allah, I did not feel at ease until I stood in front of him in Madinah.' He raised his head and looked at me, and said, 'O Wushayyi (a nickname for Khalid ibn Al-Walid)! I said, 'O Wushayyi, and I testify to his testimony.' He said, 'Woe to you, tell me how you killed Hamza?' So I told him the same way I told you. He said, 'Woe to you, keep your face hidden from me.' So I avoided him until Allah, the Most High, took him away. When Abu Bakr sent the army to Yamama, I went out with the people, and I made Musaylimah my target. I carried him along with another man from the Ansar, and I had my weapon with me, the one I used to kill Hamza. I threw the spear at him, and the Ansari attacked him as well. Surely, your Lord knows who of us killed him. If I killed him, then I have killed the best of people and the worst of people.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw in his dream, he said, "I saw as if I were carrying a ram and it seemed that the sheath of my sword was broken. So I intended to slaughter the ram of the people and I intended to use my broken sword to kill a man from my family." "Hamza was killed and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ killed Talha. He was the leader of the army."
