عَبَايَةُ بْنُ رِفَاعَةَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ؓ

tabarani:2910ʿAbdullāh b. Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal > Ibrāhīm b. al-Ḥajjāj al-Sāmī > Abū ʿAwānah > Muʿāwiyah b. Isḥāq > ʿAbāyah b. Rifāʿah > al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī

[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Indeed, I am a coward and I am weak." He replied, "Come to jihad, where there is no thorn in it for the pilgrimage."  

الطبراني:٢٩١٠حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيًّ ؓ قَالَ

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي جَبَانٌ وَإِنِّي ضَعِيفٌ قَالَ «هَلُمَّ إِلَى جِهَادٍ لَا شَوْكَةَ فِيهِ الْحَجُّ»
