tabarani:7159Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar b. Sufyān al-Raqqī > Ayyūb b. Muḥammad al-Wazzān > Marwān b. Muʿāwiyah al-Fazārī > Muḥammad b. Abū Qays al-Shāmī > Abū Muṣabbaḥ al-Ḥimṣī

[Machine] I sat with a group of companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ among whom were Shaddad bin Aws and Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . They were discussing and they said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, a person may perform such and such good actions, while he is a hypocrite." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, how can a person be a hypocrite while he is a believer in you?" He replied, "He curses the rulers and speaks ill of them."

tabarani:7160Aḥmad b. Ḥammād b. Zughbah > Saʿīd b. Abū Maryam > Ibn Lahīʿah > ʿUmārah b. Ghaziyyah > Yaʿlá b. Shaddād b. Aws from his father

[Machine] "We used to consider showing off as minor form of associating partners with Allah during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."

tabarani:7161Yaḥyá b. ʿUthmān b. Ṣāliḥ > Saʿīd b. ʿUfayr > Shaddād b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman from And Lad Shaddād b. Aws from his father > Yaʿlá b. Shaddād from his father > Dakhal

[Machine] And he said, "Do you know what makes me sit between you two? Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'When you see them both together, separate between them, for by Allah, they never come together except for wickedness.' So I wanted to separate between you two."

tabarani:7162ʿAlī b. Saʿīd al-Rāzī > Muḥammad b. Muslim b. Wārah > Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Shaddād b. Muḥammad b. Shaddād > Abū from his father from his grandfather > Shaddād b. Aws

[Machine] He was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was being generous to himself, so he said, "What is the matter with you, Shaddad?" He said, "The world has become narrow for me." He said, "You should not worry about it, for surely Sham will be conquered and the Masjid al-Aqsa will be opened, and you and your offspring will be leaders in them if Allah wills."

tabarani:7163Aḥmad b. al-Muʿallá al-Dimashqī And al-Ḥusayn b. Isḥāq al-Tustarī > Hishām b. ʿAmmār > ʿAbd al-Malik b. Muḥammad al-Ṣanʿānī > Rāshid b. Dāwud al-Ṣanʿānī > Yaʿlá b. Shaddād b. Aws from his father

[Machine] I used to be with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the house of a man from his companions. He said, "Look, is there anyone among you except yourselves?" They said, "No." He said, "Close the door." Then he said, "Raise your hands and say, 'There is no god but Allah.' " So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his hands and we raised our hands. Then he said, "Put down your hands and rejoice, for indeed your sins have been forgiven. Surely, I have been sent with it, and I have been commanded with it, and upon it I will enter Paradise."

tabarani:7164Bakr b. Sahl al-Dimyāṭī > ʿAbdullāh b. Yūsuf > Abū Muʿāwiyah > Hilāl b. Maymūn > Yaʿlá b. Shaddād

[Machine] From his father, or someone else from the companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , a question arose regarding the sighting of the crescent moon. And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Pray in your shoes and do not resemble the Jews."

tabarani:7165Aḥmad b. al-Muʿallá al-Dimashqī > Hishām b. ʿAmmār > Marwān b. Muʿāwiyah > Hilāl b. Maymūn > Yaʿlá b. Shaddād b. Aws from his father
