14. Chapter of Shīn (Male)
[Machine] From a hadith I heard from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , he mentioned that one of the things I fear the most for my Ummah is associating partners with Allah and hidden desires. A person may wake up fasting and see something he desires, so he goes and indulges in it. As for associating partners with Allah, it is not that people worship stones or idols, but rather they perform actions only to show off to others.
that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed Allah wrote in a book two thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, and He sent down two Ayat from it to end Surat Al-Baqarah with. If they are recited for three nights in a home, no Shaitan shall come near it." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2882)
‘The cupper and the one for whom cupping is done both break their fast.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1679)
[Machine] While I was walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on some streets of the city, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was holding my hand, on the eighteenth night of Ramadan, we came across a man who was performing Ihtijam (bloodletting). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one performing Ihtijam and the one being subjected to it in this case, both break their fast."
[Machine] "While the Prophet ﷺ was holding my hand on the eighteenth night of Ramadan, he turned around and saw a man who had stopped cutting his hair and shaving. He said, 'The man with unkempt hair and beard has broken his fast.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by during the 18th night of Ramadan and saw a man shaving his head. He said, "The one who is shaving and the one who is having their head shaved have broken their fast."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to a man at al-Baqi' while he was cupping on the 18th of Ramadan ; he (the Prophet) was holding my hand. Thereupon he said: A man who cups and a man who gets himself cupped break their fast. Abu Dawud said: The narrator Khalid al-Hadhdha' transmitted a similar tradition from Abu Qilabah through a different chain of narrators mentioned by the narrator Ayyub. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2369)
[Machine] I was walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the morning when he was holding my hand. Then, he turned his attention away for a moment and saw a man who had shaved his head, so he said, "The one who has shaved his head and the one who has got his head shaved have broken their fast."
[Machine] I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for eighteen days in the month of Ramadan when he saw a man who was performing Ihram. He said, "The one performing Ihram and the one shaving their head have both broken their fast."
[Machine] I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the eighteenth day of Ramadan when he saw a man performing at-tahajjum (a practice of rubbing the head with water during fasting). He said, "The one who performs at-tahajjum has broken their fast."
