The Prophet ﷺ had forbidden the sale of fruits till they were ripe (free from blight).

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ؓ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the selling of fruits until they were ripe. The Prophet ﷺ added, "It means that they become red ."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى تُزْهِيَ قَالَ حَتَّى تَحْمَارَّ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits till their benefit is evident. He forbade both the seller and the buyer (such sale).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُبْتَاعَ

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits until they were clearly in good condition, he forbade it both to the seller and to the buyer.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُبْتَاعَ

Do not buy fruits (on the trees) until their good condition becomes clear.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَبِيعُوا الثَّمَرَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ

Jabir b. Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding the sale of fruit until its good condition is obvious.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ

Do not sell the fruits until their good condition becomes evident."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَبْتَاعُوا الثِّمَارَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا

Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Apostle ﷺ forbidding the sale of fruits until their good condition becomes evident and the purchase of dates for dates.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits till they were clearly in good condition, forbidding it both to the seller and to the buyer.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ

The Prophet ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits till they were clearly in good condition , and (ordered that) they should not be sold but for dinar or dirham except Araya.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ وَلاَ يُبَاعُ إِلاَّ بِالدِّينَارِ أَوْ بِالدِّرْهَمِ إِلاَّ الْعَرَايَا

"Do not sell fruits until their condition is known. And he forbade (both) the seller and the purchaser (to engage in such a transaction).

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَبِيعُوا الثَّمَرَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ

the Prophet forbade selling the harvest for a number of years (in advance.)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ سِنِينَ

"Do not sell fruits until they have ripened." And he forbade (both) the seller and the purchaser (to engage in such a transaction).

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَبِيعُوا الثَّمَرَةَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that the sale of fruits is not valid until its quality is evident.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَصْلُحُ بَيْعُ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ صَلَاحُهُ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الثَّمَرِ أَنْ يُبَاعَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling fruits or palm trees until their goodness becomes apparent.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ أَوِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ

"the Messenger of Allah forbade selling the fruit of date palms until they are fit to eat." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4525)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺعَنْ بَيْعِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ

[AI] I heard Ibn Umar saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling the fruits until their ripeness becomes apparent.

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُبَاعَ الثَّمَرَةُ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not sell fruits of dates until they become free from all the dangers of being spoilt or blighted; and do not sell fresh dates for dry dates." Narrated Salim and ʿAbdullah from Zaid bin Habit' "Later on Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted the selling of ripe fruits on trees for fresh dates or dried dates in Bai'-al-'Araya, and did not allow it for any other kind of sale." سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَا تَبِيعُوا الثَّمَرَةَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the selling of fruits by dates and the selling of fruits until their ripeness is apparent.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ بِالتَّمْرِ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا

[AI] "Do not sell a fruit until its goodness appears."

وَلَا تُبَاعُ ثَمَرَةٌ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ تُبَاعَ الثَّمَرَةُ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited selling the fruits until they ripen.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى تَطِيبَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ تُبَاعَ الثِّمَارُ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا وَأَنْ تُبَاعَ سَنَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا

"Do not sell fruits until they have ripened."' (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2215)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَبِيعُوا الثَّمَرَةَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not trade with female singers."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَبِيعُوا الْمُغَنِّيَاتِ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Do not sell your fruits until they become ripe and free from defects."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَبِيعُوا ثِمَارَكُمْ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَصَلَاحُهَا وَتَنْجُوَ مِنَ الْعَاهَةِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا وَتَأْمَنَ مِنَ الْعَاهَةِ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling fruit until it had started to ripen. He forbade the transaction to both buyer and seller.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade two sales in one sale.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعَتَيْنِ فِي بَيْعَةٍ

[AI] "The Prophet, peace be upon him, prohibited selling sheep by its meat."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الشَّاةِ بِاللَّحْمِ»

The Prophet ﷺ forbade selling animals for animals when payment was to be made at a later date. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3356)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ اللَّحْمِ بِالْحَيَوَانِ»

Do not buy fruits (on the trees) until their good condition becomes clear. (Using translation from Muslim 1534g)
