"إنَّ أمنَّ النَّاسِ علىَّ في صُحبتِه، وذَاتِ يدِه أبو بكْر الصِّدِيقُ فَحبُّه، وشكْرُهُ، وحُفْظهُ واجِب علَى أُمَّتِى".

[قط] الدارقطنى في السنن في الأفراد والخطيب عن سهل بن سعد، وقالا: تفرد به عمر بن إِبراهيم الكروى (وغيرهُ أوثق منه، ورجاله ثقات)
