السيوطي:٥٢٧-١b –

" عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِى صَعْصَعَة أنَّه قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ الله! في كمْ أَقْرأُ القُرْآنَ؟ قَالَ: في خَمْسَ عَشْرةَ، قَالَ: فإِنِّى أَجِدُنِى أَقوى مِنْ ذَلِكَ، قَالَ: فَفِى كُلِّ جُمْعَةٍ، قَالَ: فَإِنِّى أجِدُنى أَقْوى مِنْ ذَلِكَ، فَسَكَتَ وَهُوَ مُغْضَبٌ ثُمَّ رَّجَعَ فَقَالَ: اقْرَأ في خَمْسَةَ يَومًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: يَالَيْتَنِى قَبِلْتُ رُخْصَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ".

قَيْسُ بْنُ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ثُمُّ الْخَزْرَجِيُّ، عَقَبِيٌّ بَدْرِيٌّ

[Machine] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, how often should I recite the Quran?" He said, "Fifteen times." He said, "I find myself capable of more than that." He said, "Twenty times." He said, "I find myself capable of more than that." He continued to recite the Quran in this manner for some time, until he grew old and his eyesight weakened. Then he returned to reciting it fifteen times. He said, "I wish I had accepted the first permission of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
