"يَا حَمْزَةُ: نَفْسٌ تُحْييهَا أَحَب إِلَيْكَ أَوْ نَفْسٌ تُمِيتُهَا؟ قَالَ: نَفْسٌ أُحْيِيهَا، قَالَ: عَلَيْكَ بِنَفْسِكَ".

[Machine] Hamza ibn Abdul-Muttalib came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, make me live for something." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Hamza, is it dearer to you to keep a soul alive or to kill it?" He said, "Rather, it is dearer to me to keep a soul alive." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Then take care of yourself."
