"مَنْ عَلِمَ مِن أَخِيه سَيِّئَةً فَسَتَرَهَا عَلَيهِ سَتَرَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ".

[Machine] I did not come to visit you, but I have heard a conversation from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that I was with him on that day. He said, "Whoever knows a bad thing about his brother and covers it, Allah will cover him on the Day of Resurrection."  

الطبراني:١٥٠٩١ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَلَّافُ ثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ حِقٍّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْفٍ وَهِشَامٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ خَرَجَ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ إِلَى مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ مَخْلَدٍ وَهُوَ أَمِيرٌ عَلَى مِصْرَ وَكَانَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النُّوَّابِ شَيْءٌ فَلَمَّا أَتَى دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ مَرْحَبًا بِأَخِي أَتَانِي زَائِرًا قَالَ

لَمْ آتِكَ زَائِرًا وَلَكِنْ حَدِيثٌ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كُنْتَ مَعِي يَوْمَئِذٍ قَالَ «مَنْ عَلِمَ مِنْ أَخِيهِ سَيِّئَةً فَسَتَرَهَا عَلَيْهِ سَتَرَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»
