"Indeed there are two traits in you that Allah loves: Forbearance, and deliberateness." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2011)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , ordered that a piece of land be given to Mu'awiyah. Mu'awiyah said, "Appoint me as your successor." The Prophet, ﷺ , replied, "Do not be among those who follow the footsteps of kings." Mu'awiyah then requested the Prophet's sandals, to which he said, "Wear the shadow of the camel." When Mu'awiyah became the caliph, I went to him and he made me sit with him on his bed and narrated the hadith to me. He said, "I wish I had carried the Prophet, ﷺ , in my arms."
[Machine] The horses of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , or the messengers of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , came and took my aunt and some people. When they brought them to the Prophet ﷺ , they lined up for him. My aunt said, "O Messenger of Allah, the newcomers have taken away our wealth and our children have become separated from us. I am an old woman and I have no one to serve me. Who will take care of me? May Allah bless whoever takes care of me." He ﷺ said, "Who brought you?" She said, "Adi ibn Hatim." He asked, "The one who escaped from Allah and His Messenger?" She replied, "Yes." He asked, "Who took care of you?" She said, "I did." As he was leaving, a man came to him and it seemed that it was Ali. He said, "Tell him to bring me the pregnant she-camel." She said, "So I asked him and he ordered it for her." So, I went to him and said, "You have done a deed that your father used to do. Come to him willingly or as a monk." So, he came to him and this person came to him and he was afflicted by him, and then he came to him and he was afflicted by him. So, I went to him and found that there was a woman and children with him, or a male child. Their closeness to the Prophet ﷺ was evident, so I knew that he was not a king like Khusrow or Caesar. He said to me, "O Adi ibn Hatim, what prevents you from saying: 'There is no god but Allah'? Is there any god but Allah? What prevents you from saying: 'Allah is the Greatest'? Is there anything greater than Allah?" I said, "So, I embraced Islam and I saw the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ filled with joy and he said, "Indeed, the Jews are the one who has earned Allah's anger, and the Christians are the ones who have gone astray."

[Machine] We were with the Prophet, ﷺ , in one of his battles. I got lost one night and couldn't find the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , in his place. But his companions seemed to have birds on their heads, and the camels had dropped their reins. Mu'adh ibn Jabal then intercepted me and said, "Where is the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ?" He replied, "Behind me." As I continued, I saw Abu Musa al-Ash'ari and asked him the same question. He also said, "Behind me." Then, Humeid ibn Hilal narrated from Abu Burdah from Abu Musa from Awf ibn Malik that I heard a sound behind Abu Musa, like the sound of a grinding stone. Then, I found myself in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, when the Prophet, ﷺ , was in enemy territory, he had guards with him. He said, "A visitor came to me and gave me the choice between half of my Ummah entering Paradise and intercession, so I chose intercession." Mu'adh asked, "Am I and my mother among them, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Yes, you are among them." Awf ibn Malik and Abu Musa also asked, "O Messenger of Allah, we have left our wealth, families, and children, believing in Allah and His Messenger, so include us among them." He said, "You are among them." Then, we came to the people and they had become tumultuous. The Prophet, ﷺ , said, "A visitor came to me from my Lord and gave me the choice between half of my Ummah entering Paradise and intercession, so I chose intercession." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah, include us among them." He said, "Stay silent." They remained silent as if no one had spoken. Then, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "It is for those who die without associating anything with Allah."

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped at Dhi Tuwa, Abu Quhafa said to his youngest daughter: "O my daughter, show me Abu Qubays." She said: "His sight has been reduced, so I went near him." He said: "O my daughter, what do you see?" She said: "I see a gathering of blackness." He said: "Those are the horses." She said: "And I see a man moving forward and backward in front of that gathering." He said: "That is the controller who gives orders to the horses and approaches them." Then she said: "Indeed, the blackness has spread." He said: "Indeed, the horses have been driven." Hurry up and take me to my house." So, she held him and the horses received them before they reached their house. On the neck of the girl, there was a necklace made of leaves; a man took it off her neck. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the Masjid, Abu Bakr Abu Bakr came to him, walking beside his father. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him, he said: "Why did you not leave the old man in his house until I came to him?" Abu Bakr said: "O Messenger of Allah, he is more worthy to come to you than that you come to him." So he made him sit in front of him, then he touched his chest and said to him: "Accept Islam." So he accepted Islam. Then Abu Bakr entered with him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and it seemed that his head was disheveled. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Change this from his hair." Then Abu Bakr stood up and took his sister's hand and said: "I swear by Allah and Islam, release the necklace of my sister." No one responded to him. So he said: "O my sister, bear with it. By Allah, today, trustworthiness among people is rare."

[Machine] The Muslims did not look at Abu Sufyan (May Allah be pleased with him) and did not sit with him. He (Abu Sufyan) said, "O Messenger of Allah, I ask you for three things. Will you give them to me?" He (the Prophet) said, "And what are they?" He said, "I have the most beautiful Arab woman and the best of them is Umm Habibah. You should marry her." He (the Prophet) said, "Yes." He (Abu Sufyan) said, "And make Mu'awiyah your scribe." He (the Prophet) said, "Yes." He (Abu Sufyan) said, "And command me until I fight against the polytheists as I used to fight against the Muslims." He (the Prophet) said, "Yes."

said: "It reached Safiyyah that Hafsah said: 'The daughter of a Jew' so she wept. Then the Prophet ﷺ entered upon her while she was crying, so he said: 'What makes you cry?' She said: 'Hafsah said to me that I am the daughter of a Jew.' So the Prophet ﷺ said: 'And you are the daughter of a Prophet, and your uncle is a Prophet, and you are married to a Prophet, so what is she boasting to you about?' Then he said: 'Fear Allah, O Hafsah.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3894)

[Machine] "I was in the row behind my father Talhah on the day of Khaybar, and indeed my foot touched the foot of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . So we came to Khaybar while they (the enemy) had already come out with their bags, helmets, and shackles. They said, 'Muhammad and Al-Khamis have come.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Allahu Akbar! Khaybar is ruined, for when we descend upon the territory of a people, morning is a bad time for those who are warned.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fought them and defeated them. When the booty was divided, it was said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , 'Indeed, a beautiful young girl from the offspring of Dihyah Al-Kalbi fell to the lot of Allah's Messenger ﷺ as his share, so he bought her with seven heads (of goats).' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ handed her over to Umm Sulaim to prepare her, and Umm Sulaim used to accompany the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in battles. He called for a razor, and she was brought. He then gave her a head shave, and he gave her dates and clarified butter, and she carried it. Then he set up a curtain, and commanded that the curtain be stretched. When the people had eaten their fill, they said, 'Did he marry her or take her as a concubine?' They said, 'If he marries her, then she will be his wife, but if he takes her as a concubine, then she will be a mother for the offspring.' When he intended to ride, he made her ride, and made her sit behind him. When they drew near to Medina, he let the camel go, and the people placed their palms upon her, and the women came out to look at her. She then stumbled, and Safiyah fell, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and covered her. The women said, 'May Allah keep the Jewess away!' and they made remarks about her. Thabit said: 'So I said to Anas: "O Abu Hamzah! Did Messenger of Allah ﷺ fall from his camel?" He replied: "Yes, by Allah he did fall from his camel, O Abu Muhammad."

"The Prophet stayed between Khaibar and Al-Madinah for three days when he consummated his marriage to Safiyyah bint Huyayy, and I invited the Muslims to his Walimah, in which there was no bread or meat. He commanded that a leather cloth (be spread) and dates, cottage cheese and ghee were placed on it, and that was his Walimah. The Muslims said: '(Will she be) one of the Mothers of the Believers, or a female slave whom his right hand possesses?' They said: 'If he has a Hijab for her, then she will be one of the Mothers of the Believers and if she does not have a Hijab then she will be a female slave whom his right hand possesses.' When he rode on, he set aside a plate for her behind him and extended a Hijab between her and the people." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3382)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am your share from the prophets and you are my share from the nations."

When Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, intends to show mercy to an Umma from amongst His servants He calls back His Apostle to his eternal home and makes him a harbinger and recompense in the world to come; and when He intends to cause destruction to an Umma, He punishes it while its Apostle is alive and He destroys it as he (the Apostle) witnesses it and he cools his eyes by destruction as they had belied him and disobeyed his command. (Using translation from Muslim 2288)

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Your period (i.e. the Muslims' period) in comparison to the periods of the previous nations, is like the period between the ʿAsr prayer and sunset. And your example in comparison to the Jews and the Christians is like the example of a person who employed some laborers and asked them, 'Who will work for me till midday for one Qirat each?' The Jews worked for half a day for one Qirat each. The person asked, 'Who will do the work for me from midday to the time of the ʿAsr (prayer) for one Qirat each?' The Christians worked from midday till the ʿAsr prayer for one Qirat. Then the person asked, 'Who will do the work for me from the ʿAsr till sunset for two Qirats each?' " The Prophet ﷺ added, "It is you (i.e. Muslims) who are doing the work from the ʿAsr till sunset, so you will have a double reward. The Jews and the Christians got angry and said, 'We have done more work but got less wages.' Allah said, 'Have I been unjust to you as regards your rights?' They said, 'No.' So Allah said, 'Then it is My Blessing which I bestow on whomever I like. " (Using translation from Bukhārī 3459)

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say while he was standing on the pulpit, "Indeed, your remaining in [this world] is only for the sake of those who came before you, just like the time between the Asr prayer and the sunset. The people of the Torah were given the Torah and they acted upon it until they were incapable [of following it]. Then they were given a qirat after qirat. The people of the Gospel were given the Gospel and they acted upon it until they reached the time of the Asr prayer. Then they were given a qirat after qirat. And you were given the Qur'an and you acted upon it until the sunset. Then you were given two qirats after two qirats." The people of the Torah and the Gospel said, "Our Lord, these [Muslims] did less in their actions than us and they have greater reward." Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, said, "Have you been deprived of anything from your rights?" They said, "No." He said, "Then it is My favor that I bestow upon whomever I will."

So Allah commanded him to go to Muhammad ﷺ and ask him why he weeps. Gabriel went to him and asked him. He informed him of what Allah said, and Allah knows best. Allah said: "O Gabriel, go to Muhammad and say, 'Indeed, we will please you concerning your nation and we will not disappoint you.'"

[Machine] I accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a prayer, which he performed until it was close to dawn. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his prayer, Khalid bin Walid came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I swear by my father and mother, you have prayed tonight a prayer that I have never witnessed you pray before." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Indeed, it was a prayer of desire and fear. I asked my Lord for three things, and He granted me two and prevented me from one. I asked Him not to destroy us as He destroyed the nations before us, so He granted my request. I asked Him not to subject us to an enemy other than ourselves, so He granted my request. And I asked Him not to make us divided, so He prevented me from it."

I asked my Lord three things and He has granted me two but has withheld one. I begged my Lord that my Ummah should not be destroyed because of famine and He granted me this. And I begged my Lord that my Ummah should not be destroyed by drowning (by deluge) and He granted me this. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Allah, the Exalted, folded for me the earth, or he said (the narrator is doubtful): My Lord folded for me the earth, so much so that I saw its easts and wests (i.e. the extremities). The kingdom of my community will reach as far as the earth was floded for me. The two treasures, the red and the white, were bestowed on me. I prayed to my Lord that He may not destroy my community by prevailing famine, and not give their control to an enemy who annihilates then en masse except from among themselves. My Lord said to me: Muhammad, If I make a decision, it is not withdrawn ; and I shall not destroy them by prevailing famine, and I shall not give their control to an enemy, except from among themselves, who exterminates them en masse, even if they are stormed from all sides of the earth ; only a section of them will destroy another section, and a section will captive another section. I am afraid about my community of those leaders who will lead astray. When the sword is used among my people, it will not be withdrawn from them till the Day of Resurrection, and the Last Hour will not come before the tribes of my people attach themselves to the polytheists and tribes of my people worship idols. There will be among my people thirty great liars each of them asserting that he is (Allah's) prophet, where as I am the seal of the Prophet s after whom (me) there will be no prophet ; and a section of my people will continue to hold to the truth - (according to the Ibn Isa's version: (will continue to dominate) - the agreed version goes: "and will not be injured by those who oppose them, till Allah's command comes." We offered the sunset prayer along with Allah's Apostle ﷺ. We then said: If we sit (along with Messenger of Allah) and observe night prayer with him it would be very good, so we sat down and he came to us and said: You are still sitting here. I said: Messenger of Allah, we observed evening prayer with you, then we said: Let us sit down and observe night prayer along with you, whereupon he said: You have done well or you have done right. He then lifted his head towards the sky and it often happened that as he lifted his head towards the sky, he said: The stars are a source of security for the sky and when the stars disappear there comes to the sky, i. e. (it meets the same fate) as it has been promised (it would plunge into darkness). And I am a source of safety and security to my Companions and when I would go away there would fall to the lot (of my Companions) as they have been promised with and my Companions are a source of security for the Umma and as they would go there would fall to the lot of my Umma as (its people) have been promised.

[Machine] I met a man from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , who had such a weighty tongue that it made his speech clear. He mentioned Uthman and said, "By Allah, I do not know what he is saying except that you, O group of the Companions of Muhammad, know that we used to say, 'Abu Bakr and Umar and Uthman, and verily this wealth is if he gives it to us, we are pleased.'"

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The most merciful of my nation to my nation is Abu Bakr, and the most severe of them concerning the order of Allah is 'Umar, and the most truly modest of them is 'Uthman bin 'Affan. The best reciter (of the Qur'an) among them is Ubayy bin Ka'b, the most knowledgeable of them concerning (the laws of) inheritance is Zaid bin Thabit, the most knowledgeable of them concerning the lawful and the unlawful is Mu'adh bin Jabal. Truly, every nation has a trustworthy one, and the trustworthy one of this nation is Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3791)
