The fire which sons of Adam burn is only one-seventieth part of the Fire of Hell. His Companions said: By Allah, even ordinary fire would have been enough (to burn people). Thereupon he said: It is sixty-nine parts in excess of (the heat of) fire in this world each of them being equivalent to their heat. (Using translation from Muslim 2843a)   

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «نَارُكُمُ الَّتِي تُوقِدُونَ جُزْءٌ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنْ كَانَتْ لَكَافِيَةً قَالَ «إِنَّهَا فُضِّلَتْ عَلَيْهَا بِتِسْعَةٍ وَسِتِّينَ جُزْءًا»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Your fire is only one part of seventy parts of the fire of Hell, which is as hot as the water of the sea. If it were not for that, Allah would not have made it beneficial for anyone."  

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «نَارُكُمْ هَذِهِ جُزْءٌ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ ضُرِبَتْ بِمَاءِ الْبَحْرِ وَلَوْلَا ذَلِكَ مَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهَا مَنْفَعَةً لِأَحَدٍ»  

بَعْضُهُمْ مَا يُبْكِيكَ يَا أَبَا الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ «مِنْ هَاهُنَا أَخْبَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ رَأَى جَهَنَّمَ»  

[Machine] "From here, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reported that he saw Malik turning a fire like a ripe fruit."  

«مِنْ هَاهُنَا نَبَّأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ رَأَى مَالِكًا يُقَلِّبُ جَمْرًا كَالْقُطْفِ»  

“The Fire complained to its Lord and said: ‘O Lord, parts of me have consumed other parts.’ So He gave it two occasions to exhale, one in winter and one in summer. The intense cold that you feel (in winter) is part of its severe frost (Zamharir) and the intense heat that you feel in summer is part of its hot wind (Samum).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4319)   

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «اشْتَكَتِ النَّارُ إِلَى رَبِّهَا فَقَالَتْ يَا رَبِّ أَكَلَ بَعْضِي بَعْضًا فَنَفِّسْنِي فَجَعَلَ لَهَا فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ نَفَسَيْنِ فِي الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِ فَشِدَّةُ الْبَرْدِ الَّذِي تَجِدُونَ مِنْ زَمْهَرِيرِهَا وَشِدَّةُ الْحَرِّ الَّذِي تَجِدُونَ مِنْ حُرِّ جَهَنَّمَ»  

that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Woe is the valley of Jahannam, the disbeliever shall drop into it for forty autumns before he reaches its bottom." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3164)   

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «وَيْلٌ وَادٍ فِي جَهَنَّمَ يَهْوِي بِهِ الْكَافِرُ أَرْبَعِينَ خَرِيفًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْلُغَ قَعْرَهَا»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If a stone were to be thrown into Hellfire, it would fall for seventy autumns before reaching its depths."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَوْ أَنَّ حَجَرًا يُقْذَفَ بِهِ فِي جَهَنَّمَ هَوَى سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْلُغَ قَعْرَهَا»  

We were in the company of Messenger of Allah ﷺ that we heard a terrible sound. Thereupon Allah's Apostle ﷺ said: Do you know what (sound) is this? We said: Allah and His Messenger know best. Thereupon he said: That is a stone which was thrown seventy years before in Hell and it has'been constantly slipping down and now it has reached its base. (Using translation from Muslim 2844a)   

بَيْنَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذْ سَمِعَ وَجْبَةً فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَتَدْرُونَ مَا هَذِهِ؟ » قُلْنَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ «هَذِهِ حَجَرٌ رُمِيَ بِهِ فِي النَّارِ مُنْذُ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا فَالْآنَ انْتَهَى إِلَى قَعْرِ النَّارِ»  

“O you who believe! Have fear of Allah as is His due, and die not except as Muslims. [3:102] (Then he said): ‘If a drop of Zaqqum were to be dropped on the earth, it would ruin the livelihood of the people of this world, so how about those who have no food other than it (i.e. Zaqqum)?’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4325)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «{يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ} فَلَوْ أَنَّ قَطْرَةً مِنَ الزَّقُّومِ قَطَرَتْ فِي الْأَرْضِ لَأَفْسَدَتْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ مَعِيشَتَهُمْ فَكَيْفَ بِمَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ طَعَامٌ غَيْرُهُ؟ »  

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Verily, in the fire there are snakes with necks like the necks of camels. One of them will bite someone, then he will find the swelling of the bite for forty autumns."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «إِنَّ فِي النَّارِ لَحَيَّاتٍ أَمْثَالَ أَعْنَاقِ الْبُخْتِ تَلْسَعُ أَحَدَهُمُ اللَّسْعَةَ فَيَجِدُ حُمُوَّتَهَا أَرْبَعِينَ خَرِيفًا»  

[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said, "Verily, the least punished among the people of Hellfire is the one who has sandals made of fire that makes his brain boil."  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَدْنَى أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا الَّذِي يُجْعَلُ لَهُ نَعْلَانِ مِنْ نَارٍ يَغْلِي مِنْهُمَا دِمَاغُهُ»  

[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "Water is like a camel's urine. When one comes close to it, a drop falls from their face."  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «{مَاءٍ كَالْمُهْلِ} كَعَكَرِ الزَّيْتِ فَإِذَا قَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِ سَقَطَتْ فَرْوَةُ وَجْهِهِ»  

When the inmates of Paradise would go to Paradise and the inmates of Hell would go to Hell, death would be called and it would be placed between the Paradise and the Hell and then slaughtered and then the announcer would announce: O inmates of Paradise, no death. O inmates of Hell-Fire, no death. And it would increase the delight of the inmates of Paradise and it would increase the grief of the inmates of Hell-Fire. (Using translation from Muslim 2850b)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا صَارَ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَأَهْلُ النَّارِ إِلَى النَّارِ أُتِيَ بِالْمَوْتِ حَتَّى يُجْعَلَ بَيْنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ ثُمَّ يُذْبَحُ ثُمَّ يُنَادِي مُنَادٍ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ لَا مَوْتَ يَا أَهْلَ النَّارِ لَا مَوْتَ فَيَزْدَادُ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ فَرَحًا إِلَى فَرَحِهِمْ وَيَزْدَادُ أَهْلُ النَّارِ حُزْنًا إِلَى حُزْنِهِمْ»  

“I know the last of the people of Hell who will be brought forth from it, and the last of the people of Paradise to be admitted to Paradise. (It is) a man who will emerge from Hell crawling, and it will be said to him: ‘Go and enter Paradise.’ He will come to it and it will be made to appear to him as if it is full.’ Allah will say: ‘Go and enter Paradise.’ He will come to it and it will appear to him as if it is full. So he will say: ‘O Lord, I found it full.’ Allah will say: ‘Go and enter Paradise.’ He will come to it and it will be made to appear to him as if it is full. So he will say: ‘O Lord, I found it full.’ Allah will say: ‘Go and enter Paradise, for you will have the like of the world and ten times more, or you will have ten times the like of the world.’ He will say: ‘Are You mocking me, or are You laughing at me, when You are the Sovereign?’” He said: "And I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiling so broadly that his molar teeth could be seen." And he used to say: "This is the lowest of the people of Paradise in status." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4339)   

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «لَأَعْلَمُ آخِرَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ خُرُوجًا مِنَ النَّارِ وَآخِرَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ دُخُولًا الْجَنَّةَ رَجُلٌ يَخْرُجُ مِنَ النَّارِ حَبْوًا فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ لَهُ اذْهَبْ فَادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ فَيَأْتِيهَا فَيُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهَا مَلْأَى فَيَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ قَدْ وَجَدْتُهَا مَلْأَى فَيَقُولُ لَهُ اذْهَبْ فَارْجِعْ فَادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ فَيَأْتِيهَا فَيُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهَا مَلْأَى فَيَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ قَدْ وَجَدْتُهَا مَلْأَى فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ لَهُ اذْهَبْ فَادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ فَإِنَّ لَكَ مِثْلَ الدُّنْيَا وَعَشَرَةَ أَمْثَالِ الدُّنْيَا فَيَقُولُ أَتَسْخَرُ بِي أَوْ تَضْحَكُ بِي وَأَنْتَ الْمَلِكُ؟ قَالَ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ ضَحِكَ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ» قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ وَكَانَ يُقَالُ «إِنَّ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلَ أَدْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلَةً»  

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet, ﷺ , he said, "Paradise and Hell disputed with one another. Hell said, 'I shall be filled with the proud and the tyrants.' Paradise said, 'I shall be filled with the weak and oppressed people.' Allah said to Hell, 'Indeed, you are My punishment, and I will fill you with whomever I wish.' And He said to Paradise, 'Indeed, you are My mercy, and I will fill you with whomever I wish. And each of you shall be filled to the full extent.'"  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «اخْتَصَمَتِ الْجَنَّةُ وَالنَّارُ فَقَالَتِ النَّارُ يَدْخُلُنِي الْجَبَّارُونَ وَالْمُتَكَبِّرُونَ وَقَالَتِ الْجَنَّةُ يَدْخُلُنِي ضُعَفَاءُ النَّاسِ وَأَسْقَاطُهُمْ فَقَالَ اللَّهُ لِلنَّارِ أَنْتِ عَذَابِي أُصِيبُ بِكِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ وَقَالَ لِلْجَنَّةِ أَنْتِ رَحْمَتِي أُصِيبُ بِكِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ وَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْكُمَا مِلْؤُهَا»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Paradise and Hell argued with each other. Paradise said, 'Why do the weak and poor enter me?' Hell said, 'Why do the arrogant and tyrants enter me?' Allah said, 'You, O Paradise, are My mercy, and I show mercy to whomever I will. And you, O Hell, are My punishment, and I inflict punishment upon whomever I will. And each of you will be filled.'"  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «احْتَجَّتِ الْجَنَّةُ وَالنَّارُ فَقَالَتِ الْجَنَّةُ مَا بَالِي يَدْخُلُنِي الْفُقَرَاءُ وَالضُّعَفَاءُ؟ وَقَالَتِ النَّارُ مَا بَالِي يَدْخُلُنِي الْجَبَّارُونَ وَالْمُتَكَبِّرُونَ؟ فَقَالَ اللَّهُ أَنْتِ رَحْمَتِي أَرْحَمُ بِكِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ وَقَالَ لِلنَّارِ أَنْتِ عَذَابِي أُصِيبُ بِكِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ وَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْهُنَّ مِلْؤُهَا»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded the women to give charity and encouraged them to do so. He said, "Give charity, for indeed you (women) are the majority of the inhabitants of Hell." A woman among them asked, "Why is that, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Because you (women) curse often, are ungrateful for kindness, and deny the good treatment of your husbands."  

أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ النِّسَاءَ بِالصَّدَقَةِ وَحَثَّهُنَّ عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ «تَصَدَّقْنَ فَإِنَّكُنَّ أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ» فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ بِمَ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «لِأَنَّكُنَّ تُكْثِرْنَ اللَّعْنَ وَتُسَوِّفْنَ الْخَيْرَ وَتَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ once addressed women and gave them a sermon, commanding them to fear Allah and obey their husbands. He said, "Certainly, among you are those who will enter Paradise, joining their fingers together, and among you are those who will be fuel for Hell, separating their fingers." The women of Maridiya or Muradiya asked, "Why is that, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "You belittle your husbands, curse frequently, and are ungrateful for goodness."  

خَطَبَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ النِّسَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَوَعَظَهُنَّ وَأَمَرَهُنَّ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَالطَّاعَةِ لِأَزْوَاجِهِنَّ وَقَالَ «إِنَّ مِنْكُنَّ مَنْ تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ وَمِنْكُنَّ حَطَبُ جَهَنَّمَ وَفَرَّقَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ» فَقَالَتِ الْمَارِدِيَّةُ أَوِ الْمُرَادِيَّةُ وَلِمَ ذَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «تَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ وَتُكْثِرْنَ اللَّعْنَ وَتُسَوِّفْنَ الْخَيْرَ»  

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "The abortive woman and the one who commits infanticide will be in Hellfire."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْوَائِدَةُ وَالْمَوْءُودَةُ فِي النَّارِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Three types of people were presented to me as entering the Fire: a ruler who oppresses people, a wealthy person who does not fulfill the rights of Allah, and a proud beggar."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «عُرِضَ عَلَيَّ أَوَّلُ ثَلَاثَةٍ يَدْخُلُونَ النَّارَ أَمِيرٌ مُسَلَّطٌ وَذُو ثَرْوَةٍ مِنْ مَالٍ لَا يُؤَدِّي حَقَّ اللَّهِ وَفَقِيرٌ فَخُورٌ»  

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said: 'The people of Hellfire are five: the weak, who are disregarded even though they are among you; the followers, who do not seek to harm others in terms of people or wealth.' I asked, 'And will that happen, O Abu Abdullah?' He said, 'Yes, by Allah, I have encountered them during the days of ignorance. Indeed, a man may pass by his neighbor's house, and nothing is found there except his mother breastfeeding her child. And there is a man who does not go morning or evening without deceiving you with regards to your family and wealth. And there is a man who hides nothing except that he betrays it. And indeed, falsehood and miserliness are mentioned frequently.'"  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «أَهْلُ النَّارِ خَمْسَةٌ الضَّعِيفُ الَّذِي لَا يُؤْبَهُ لَهُ وَهُوَ فِيكُمْ تَبَعٌ لَا يَبْغُونَ أَهْلًا وَلَا مَالًا» قُلْتُ وَيَكُونُ ذَلِكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ أَدْرَكْتُهُمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَرْعَى عَلَى الْحَيِّ مَا بِهِ إِلَّا وَلِيدَتُهُمْ يَطَؤُهَا وَرَجُلٌ لَا يُصْبِحُ وَلَا يُمْسِي إِلَّا وَهُوَ يُخَادِعُكَ عَنْ أَهْلِكِ وَمَالِكِ وَرَجُلٌ لَا يُخْفَى عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا خَانَهُ وَإِنَّ دَقَّ وَذَكَرَ الْكَذِبَ وَذَكَرَ الْبُخْلَ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying with my own ears, and he pointed to his ears with his hand: "Allah will bring a group of people out of the Hellfire and admit them into Paradise." A man said to him in reference to the narration of 'Amr: "Indeed, Allah says, 'They want to get out of the Fire, but they are not able to.' (Quran 5:37)" Jabir ibn Abdullah said, "You are making the specific general. Read what comes before it, then recite, 'Indeed, those who disbelieve - if they should have all that is in the earth and the like of it with it by which to ransom themselves from the punishment of the Day of Resurrection, it will not be accepted from them, and for them is a painful punishment. They will wish to get out of the Fire, but never are they to emerge therefrom.'" (Quran 5:36-37) This is referring to the disbelievers.  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ بِأُذُنَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى أُذُنَيْهِ «يُخْرِجُ اللَّهُ قَوْمًا مِنَ النَّارِ فَيُدْخِلُهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ» فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ فِي حَدِيثِ عَمْرٍو إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ {يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَخْرُجُوا مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَا هُمْ بِخَارِجِينَ مِنْهَا} فَقَالَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِنَّكُمْ تَجْعَلُونَ الْخَاصَّ عَامًّا هَذِهِ لِلْكُفَّارِ اقْرَؤُوا مَا قَبْلَهَا ثُمَّ تَلَا {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُمْ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ لِيَفْتَدُوا بِهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَا تُقُبِّلَ مِنْهُمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَخْرُجُوا مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَا هُمْ بِخَارِجِينَ مِنْهَا} هَذِهِ لِلْكُفَّارِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who says, 'There is no god but Allah' and has in his heart the weight of a particle, will come out of the Fire." Yazid said, "So I met Shu'bah and narrated the Hadith to him. Shu'bah said, 'Qatadah narrated to me from Anas, except that Shu'bah replaced the word 'particle' with 'atom'." Yazid said, "Sahifat Abu Bishtam contained this Hadith." Yazid said, "So I met Imran al-Qattan, Abu al-Awwam, and narrated the Hadith to him. Imran said, 'Qatadah narrated to me from 'Ata ibn Yazid al-Laythi, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ, with this Hadith.' Yazid said, 'Imran made a mistake in it and was confused by it.'"  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَخْرُجُ مِنَ النَّارِ مَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَكَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مَا يَزِنُ ذَرَّةً» قَالَ يَزِيدُ فَلَقِيتُ شُعْبَةَ فَحَدَّثْتُهُ الْحَدِيثَ فَقَالَ شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ إِلَّا أَنَّ شُعْبَةَ جَعَلَ مَكَانَ الذَّرَّةِ ذَرَّةً قَالَ يَزِيدُ صَحَّفَ فِيهِ أَبُو بِسْطَامٍ قَالَ يَزِيدُ فَلَقِيتُ عِمْرَانَ الْقَطَّانَ أَبَا الْعَوَّامِ فَحَدَّثْتُهُ بِالْحَدِيثِ فَقَالَ عِمْرَانُ حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ قَتَادَةُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ عَنْ أَبَى هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِالْحَدِيثِ قَالَ يَزِيدُ أَخْطَأَ فِيهِ عِمْرَانُ وَوَهِمَ فِيهِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "As for the people of the Fire, those who are its inhabitants, they neither die nor live. Rather, they are people who will be afflicted by the Fire because of their sins, and it will cause their deaths until they become coal. Then, permission for intercession will be granted."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَمَّا أَهْلُ النَّارِ الَّذِينَ هُمْ أَهْلُهَا فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يَمُوتُونَ وَلَا يَحْيَوْنَ وَلَكِنَّ أُنَاسًا تُصِيبُهُمُ النَّارُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ فَيُمِيتُهُمْ حَتَّى إِذَا صَارُوا فَحْمًا أَذِنَ فِي الشَّفَاعَةِ»  

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "The stubbornness of a disbeliever is equivalent to forty-two arms of a tyrant and his canine tooth is like Mount Uhud."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «غِلَظُ الْكَافِرِ اثْنَانِ وَأَرْبَعُونَ ذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعِ الْجَبَّارِ وَضِرْسُهُ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ»  

The molar tooth of an unbeliever or the canine teeth of an unbeliever will be like Uhud and the thickness of his skin a three night's journey. (Using translation from Muslim 2851)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «ضِرْسُ الْكَافِرِ أَوْ نَابُ الْكَافِرِ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ وَغِلَظُ جِلْدِهِ مَسِيرَةُ ثَلَاثٍ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The tooth of a disbeliever is like Mount Uhud, meaning in the Fire."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «ضِرْسُ الْكَافِرِ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ يَعْنِي فِي النَّارِ »  

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "I entered paradise and found that the majority of its inhabitants were the poor. Then I looked into hellfire and found that the majority of its inhabitants were women. I saw there three people being punished: a woman who had tied her cat and did not feed or give it water, and did not allow it to eat from the insects of the earth as it would eat from the front and back of its mouth, and I saw there the brother of Banu Darda' (a tribe) who used to steal from the pilgrims with his spear. When he was caught, he would say, 'It is only my spear that is attached to me, and it was my body that stole, not me, Messenger of Allah.' "  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ فَإِذَا أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِهَا الْفُقَرَاءُ وَاطَّلَعْتُ فِي النَّارِ فَإِذَا أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِهَا النِّسَاءُ وَرَأَيْتُ فِيهَا ثَلَاثَةً يُعَذَّبُونَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ حِمْيَرَ طُوَالَةً رَبَطَتْ هِرَّةً لَهَا لَمْ تُطْعِمْهَا وَلَمْ تَسْقِهَا وَلَمْ تَدَعْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ فَهِيَ تَنْهَشُ قُبُلَهَا وَدُبُرَهَا وَرَأَيْتُ فِيهَا أَخَا بَنِي دَعْدَعٍ الَّذِي كَانَ يَسْرِقُ الْحَاجَّ بِمِحْجَنِهِ فَإِذَا فُطِنَ لَهُ قَالَ إِنَّمَا تَعَلَّقَ بِمِحْجَنِي وَالَّذِي سَرَقَ بَدَنَتَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»  

[Machine] "I saw in a vision that 'Amr ibn Luha ibn Qama'ah ibn Khindaf was dragging his jawbone in the Fire. He was the first to change Ibrahim's covenant and leave the allies. He was similar in appearance to Aktham ibn Abi al-Jawn al-Khuzai. So Aktham asked the Messenger of Allah, 'Will his resemblance harm me?' He replied, 'You are a Muslim and he is a disbeliever.'"  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ النَّارُ فَرَأَيْتُ فِيهَا عَمْرَو بْنَ لُحَيِّ بْنِ قَمَعَةَ بْنِ خِنْدِفٍ يَجُرُّ قُصْبَهُ فِي النَّارِ وَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ غَيَّرَ عَهْدَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَسَيَّبَ السَّوَائِبَ وَكَانَ أَشْبَهَ شَيْءٍ بِأَكْثَمَ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَوْنِ الْخُزَاعِيِّ فَقَالَ الْأَكْثَمُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ يَضُرُّنِي شَبَهُهُ؟ فَقَالَ » إِنَّكَ مُسْلِمٌ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ «  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "While I was sleeping, two men came to me and took hold of my upper arms. They brought me to a rugged mountain and said to me, 'Ascend until you reach the top of this mountain.' When I reached the top, I heard a loud voice. I asked, 'What is this noise?' They said, 'This is the howling of the people of Hell.' Then, they took me farther and I saw people hanging from their ankles and their mouths bleeding. I asked, 'Who are these people?' It was said, 'These are the ones who break their fast before it is time to do so.' Then, they took me and I saw a group of people whose skin was peeling off and their stench was unbearable. I asked, 'Who are these people?' It was said, 'These are the adulterers and fornicators.' Then, they took me and I saw women whose breasts were being torn apart by snakes. I asked, 'What is happening to these women?' It was said, 'These are the women who prevent their children from breastfeeding.' Then, they took me and I saw young boys playing between two rivers. I asked, 'Who are these boys?' It was said, 'These are the righteous offspring.' Then, I was honored with great honor. I saw three men drinking from a wine-filled cup. I asked, 'Who are these men?' They said, 'These are Ibrahim, Musa, and 'Isa, and they are waiting for you.'"  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ إِذْ أَتَانِي رَجُلَانِ فَأَخَذَا بِضَبْعَيَّ فَأَتَيَا بِي جَبَلًا وَعْرًا فَقَالَا لِي اصْعَدْ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنْتُ فِي سَوَاءِ الْجَبَلِ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِصَوْتٍ شَدِيدٍ فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذِهِ الْأَصْوَاتُ؟ قَالَ هَذَا عُوَاءُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ بِي فَإِذَا أَنَا بِقَوْمٍ مُعَلَّقِينَ بِعَرَاقِيبِهِمْ مُشَقَّقَةٍ أَشْدَاقُهُمْ تَسِيلُ أَشْدَاقُهُمْ دَمًا فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ؟ فَقِيلَ هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ يُفْطِرُونَ قَبْلَ تَحِلَّةِ صَوْمِهِمْ ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ بِي فَإِذَا بِقَوْمٍ أَشَدِّ شَيْءٍ انْتِفَاخًا وَأَنْتَنِهِ رِيحًا وَأَسْوَئِهِ مَنْظَرًا فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ قِيلَ الزَّانُونَ وَالزَّوَانِي ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ بِي فَإِذَا بِنِسَاءٍ تَنْهَشُ ثَدْيَهُنَّ الْحَيَّاتُ قُلْتُ مَا بَالُ هَؤُلَاءِ؟ قِيلَ هَؤُلَاءِ اللَّاتِي يَمْنَعْنَ أَوْلَادَهُنَّ أَلْبَانَهُنَّ ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ بِي فَإِذَا أَنَا بِغِلْمَانٍ يَلْعَبُونَ بَيْنَ نَهْرَيْنِ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ؟ فَقِيلَ هَؤُلَاءِ ذَرَارِيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ثُمَّ شَرَفَ بِي شَرَفًا فَإِذَا أَنَا بِثَلَاثَةٍ يَشْرَبُونَ مِنْ خَمْرٍ لَهُمْ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ؟ قَالُوا هَذَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ وَمُوسَى وَعِيسَى وَهُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ»
