ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ مَنْ مَضَى مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ كَانَ الْخَيِّرَ فَالْخَيِّرَ

ibnhibban:7225 – ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad b. Salm > Ḥarmalah b. Yaḥyá > Ibn Wahb > ʿAmr b. al-Ḥārith > Bakr b. Sawādah > Suḥaym > Rūwayfiʿ b. Thābit al-Anṣārī

[Machine] He said, "Some dates and dried dates were brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and they ate from them until nothing was left except the seed. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, 'Do you know what this is?' They replied, 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said, 'You are consuming the good part and leaving the best part, until nothing remains of you except like this.'"  

ابن حبّان:٧٢٢٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ أَنَّ سُحَيْمًا حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ رُوَيْفِعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ قُرِّبَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَمْرٌ وَرُطَبٌ فَأَكَلُوا مِنْهُ حَتَّى لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا نَوَاةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَتَدْرُونَ مَا هَذَا؟ » قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ «تَذْهَبُونَ الْخَيِّرَ فَالْخَيِّرَ حَتَّى لَا يَبْقَى مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا مِثْلُ هَذَا»

There was no good in it, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Do you know what this is? You are consuming the good until nothing is left but this (meaning the pits).'"

أَنَّهُ قَالَ قُرِّبَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَمْرٌ وَرُطَبٌ فَأَكَلُوا مِنْهُ حَتَّى لَمْ يُبْقُوا شَيْئًا إِلَّا نَوَاةً وَمَا لَا خَيْرَ فِيهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «تَدْرُونَ مَا هَذَا؟ تَذْهَبُونَ الْخَيِّرُ فَالْخَيِّرُ حَتَّى لَا يَبْقَى مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا مِثْلُ هَذَا»

الطبراني:٤٤٩٢ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيٌّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرٍ وَحَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَا ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ سُحَيْمًا حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ رُوَيْفِعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ
