الحاكم:٤٩٦٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا بِجَمِيعِ مَا ذَكَرْتُهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ رُسْتَةَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ «مَاتَ أَبُو مَرْثَدٍ الْغَنَوِيُّ كَنَّازُ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ حَلِيفُ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَقِيلَ الَّذِي مَاتَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ مَرْثَدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْثَدٍ»

وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ قُتِلَ بِأَجْنَادِينَ
