[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, Allah supports those who are in debt until they pay off their debt, as long as it does not involve something that Allah dislikes."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever borrows a debt and has the means to repay it, then dies without paying it, Allah will disregard it for him and will satisfy his creditor with whatever He wills. And whoever borrows a debt and does not have the means to repay it, then dies, Allah will take retribution from his creditor on his behalf on the Day of Resurrection." This is glad tidings for the abandoned.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had two thick and rough cotton garments. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, your clothes are rough and harsh, and you perspire in them, causing them to become heavy on you. So-and-so has received some clothes from Sham (Syria), if you sent a message to him and took two garments in exchange for mine." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a messenger to him and he said, "I know what Muhammad wants; he wants to take my clothes and delay their return." The man came to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "He is lying. They know that I treat them with piety and fulfill my trust."
[Machine] I said, O Messenger of Allah, your clothes are thick. If you take them off and send them to the merchant Fulan, he will send two clothes to you in return to Al-Maysarah. He said, "Should I send him two clothes to Al-Maysarah? He refused."
[Machine] A camel arrived, so the Prophet ﷺ bought it and made a profit by selling its gold adornments. Then he gave it in charity to the sons of Banu 'Abd al-Muttalib and said, "I do not buy something that I do not have the price for." Al-Bukhari relied on the narration of 'Ikrimah and Muslim relied on the narrations of Simak and Shareek, and they both said, "The hadith is authentic and they did not exclude it." Authentic.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Debt is the banner of Allah on earth, and if He wants to humiliate a servant, He places it around his neck."
[Machine] "From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , that he used to supplicate with these words: 'O Allah, You are the First, there is nothing before You, and You are the Last, there is nothing after You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of every creature whose forelock is in Your hand, and I seek refuge in You from sin and laziness, and from the punishment of the grave and from the punishment of the Fire, and from the trials of wealth and from the trials of poverty, and I seek refuge in You from the sin and debt.'"
[Machine] We were informed by Al-Qa'nabi, who was informed by Abdul Aziz ibn Muhammad, who was informed by Al-Ala ibn Abdul Rahman, from Abu Kathir, the freed slave of Muhammad ibn Jahsh, from Muhammad ibn Jahsh, who said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting where the deceased are laid, so he lifted his head towards the sky, then lowered his gaze and placed his hand on his forehead and said: 'Glory be to Allah, glory be to Allah, He has not sent down anything to fear.' We understood but remained silent until the next day, when I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , 'O Messenger of Allah, what is the fear that has been sent down?' He said, 'In regard to debt, by Him in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, if a man is killed in the cause of Allah and he still has a debt, he will not enter Paradise until his debt is paid off.'
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once offered a prayer, and when he finished, he said, "Is there anyone here from the tribe of so-and-so?" The people remained silent, for whenever he asked about something, they would remain silent until he repeated the question. So he said, "Is there anyone here from the tribe of so-and-so?" A man then said, "Here, this is so-and-so." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, your companion has been held at the gates of Paradise due to a debt he owed." A man then said, "I will pay off his debt." And Firas bin Shaabi narrated this incident from Ash-Sha'bi.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ prayed one day and then said, "Is there anyone from the family of so-and-so?" He repeated this three times with no one responding. Then he said, "Indeed, the man who died among you has been detained from entering Paradise because of the debt he owes. If you wish, you can pay it off for him, and if you wish, you can hand him over to the punishment of Allah."
[Machine] "Regarding the Prophet ﷺ, it is possible to excuse the narration about Ismail ibn Abi Khalid and Firas ibn Yahya, as they are from the narrations of the trustworthy Imams who have narrated similar narrations. And Allah knows best."
[Machine] He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying to his companions, "Do not put yourselves in debt." So, they asked, "O Messenger of Allah, how can we avoid putting ourselves in debt?" He said, "By avoiding borrowing money."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever passes away, while free from three things, will enter Paradise: theft, debt, and arrogance." Abu Awana reported from Qatadah in the authenticity of this narration, following the condition of Bukhari and Muslim.
That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever dies and he is free of three: Kibr (Pride), Ghulul, and debt, he will enter paradise." There are narrations on this topic from Abu Hurairah and Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhni Footnote: Ghulul refers to goods stolen from the spoils of war, or concealed, before it is divided among the soldiers (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1572)
The Messenger of Allah said: "The believer's soul is suspended by his debt until it is settled for him." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1079)
“The soul of the believer is attached to his debt until it is paid off.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2413)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, Satan has given up that the idols in the land of Arabia will be worshipped. However, he will be pleased with you if you commit sins and engage in destructive actions. So, beware of injustice as much as you can. Indeed, on the Day of Judgment, a servant will come with a good amount of good deeds, thinking that it will save him. But then he will find that a person has wronged him, so it will be said to him, 'Wipe off from his good deeds until he has no good deed left.'"
We were sitting waiting for Abdullah ibn Umar who came out to us and sat. He then said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: If anyone's intercession intervenes as an obstacle to one of the punishments prescribed by Allah, he has opposed Allah; if anyone disputes knowingly about something which is false, he remains in the displeasure of Allah till he desists, and if anyone makes an untruthful accusation against a Muslim, he will be made by Allah to dwell in the corrupt fluid flowing from the inhabitants of Hell till he retracts his statement. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3597)
"There was a man who never did any good deed, but he used to lend to people and he would say to this messenger: "Take what can be paid easily and leave what is difficult, let them off, and perhaps Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, said to him: 'Did you ever do any good did? He said: No, but I had a slave and I used to lend to people. When I sent him to collect the debts I said to him: Take what can he paid easily and leave what is difficult; let them off, and perhaps Allah will let us off. Allah, the Most High, said: 'I have let you off."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4694)
[Machine] I and my father went out to seek knowledge in this neighborhood from the Ansar before they perish. So, the first person we met was Abu Al-Yassar, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He had a servant with him, wearing a tattered cloak, and his servant also had a tattered cloak. He also had a pile of scriptures with him. My father said to him, "I see a trace of anger on your face." He replied, "Yes, I had some wealth that belonged to so-and-so, the thief. So, I went to his family and asked them if it was permissible for me to keep it. They said, 'No,' so his son came out. I asked him, 'Where is your father?' He replied, 'He heard what you said and went to hide in my mother's bed.' So, I said, 'Come out, for I know where you are.' He came out to me, and I asked him, 'What made you hide from me?' He replied, 'By Allah, I was telling you the truth and feared that I would lie to you or you would accuse me falsely. You used to be a companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so I said, 'By Allah, were you not a person who used to struggle financially?' I said, 'By Allah, I was.' He said, 'By Allah.' I said, 'By Allah.' He said, 'By Allah,' and repeated it. Then, he spread out the scripture and erased the debt, saying, 'If you find a case, judge accordingly, but if not, then you are free.' He then pointed to the corners of his heart and said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whosoever removes a hardship from a believer, Allah will remove a hardship from him in this world and the Hereafter.'"

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Whoever assists a debtor, he will have a charity for every day before the debt is due. And when the debt becomes due, if he waits for it (to be repaid), then he will have a similar charity for every day."
[Machine] A man was tyrannical and wealthy, he would lend people money and say to his slaves, "If you find someone wealthy, take from him, and if you find someone in debt, forgive him, perhaps Allah will forgive me." Then Allah said, "I am more deserving of forgiving him." This is an authentic report according to the conditions of the two Sheikhs [Al-Bukhari and Muslim], but they did not include it. It has also been narrated from Abdullah bin Numayr from Al-A'mash.

[Machine] Narrated to us Al-Qanabi, narrated to us Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad, from Amr bin Abi Amr, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, that a man had a dispute with his opponent over ten silver coins. The man said to him, "By Allah, I do not currently have the means to pay you today." The opponent said, "By Allah, I will not leave you until you settle the debt or bring someone who will pay on your behalf." The man said, "By Allah, I do not have the means to settle the debt, nor can I find anyone to pay on my behalf." He then brought the case to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, this man is insisting and I have given him a one-month extension, but he refuses to wait until I can settle the debt or find someone to pay on my behalf." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Do you expect him to wait for only one month?" The man replied, "No." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then I will bear this debt on your behalf." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took responsibility for the debt and the man went and brought the agreed amount. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Where did you get this gold from?" The man replied, "From a mine." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Go, we have no need for it as it does not contain any goodness." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ settled the debt on behalf of the man.

The Prophet ﷺ pulled his garment from his right shoulder and said, 'O sons of Abd al-Muttalib, you are the heirs, and I am well acquainted with your rights.' Umar reproached him, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, 'O Umar, both he and I were in need of something other than this. It would have been better if you had advised me to give him his due honorably and advised him to demand it honorably. Depart, O Umar, and fulfill his right. Indeed, he has three sa' left of his due, so give him an extra thirty sa' for your attempt to cheat him.'"

Then we went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ either the day before or after the conquest."
