Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This branch from Quraish will ruin the people." The companions of the Prophet ﷺ asked, "What do you order us to do (then)?" He said, "I would suggest that the people keep away from them.''  

البخاري:٣٦٠٤ – حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُهْلِكُ النَّاسَ هَذَا الْحَىُّ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ قَالُوا فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ النَّاسَ اعْتَزَلُوهُمْ قَالَ مَحْمُودٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا زُرْعَةَ

muslim:2917 – Abū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah > Abū Usāmah > Shuʿbah > Abū al-Tayyāḥ > Abū Zurʿah > Abū Hurayrah

This tribe of the Quraish would kill (people) of my Ummah. They (the Companions) said: What do you command us to do (in such a situation)? Thereupon he said: Would that the people remain aside from them (and not besmear their hands with the blood of the Muslim). This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Shu'ba with the same chain of transmitters.
