10. Ādhān (Call to Prayer)
١٠۔ كتاب الأذان
Once Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the ʿIsha' prayer till ʿUmar informed him that the women and children had slept. The Prophet ﷺ came out and said, "None except you from amongst the dwellers of earth is waiting for this prayer." In those days, there was no prayer except in Medina and they used to pray the ʿIsha' prayer between the disappearance of the twilight and the first third of the night.
أَعْتَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِالْعَتَمَةِ حَتَّى نَادَاهُ عُمَرُ نَامَ النِّسَاءُ وَالصِّبْيَانُ فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا يَنْتَظِرُهَا أَحَدٌ غَيْرُكُمْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الأَرْضِ وَلاَ يُصَلَّى يَوْمَئِذٍ إِلاَّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَكَانُوا يُصَلُّونَ الْعَتَمَةَ فِيمَا بَيْنَ أَنْ يَغِيبَ الشَّفَقُ إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ الأَوَّلِ
The Prophet ﷺ said, "If your women ask permission to go to the mosque at night, allow them."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَكُمْ نِسَاؤُكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَأْذَنُوا لَهُنَّ
