It is mentioned that Abdullah bin As-Sa'ib narrated that the Prophet ﷺ would recite Al-Mu'minun in the morning prayer until when he reached the mention of Musa and Harun or the mention of 'Isa, he would be taken by a fit and then perform a prostration. And Umar would recite in the first unit of prayer one hundred and twenty verses from Al-Baqarah, and in the second unit a Surah from Al-Muthani. And Al-Ahnaf would recite Al-Kahf in the first unit, and in the second unit either Yusuf or Yunus, and he mentioned that he prayed the morning prayer with Umar, performing these recitations. And Ibn Mas'ud would recite in the first unit forty verses from Al-Anfal, and in the second unit a Surah from Al-Mufassal.
