[AI] "He cooked a pot of food for the Prophet ﷺ and the Prophet said to him, 'Serve me a forearm (portion) of it.' He was fond of the forearm, so he served him a forearm. أَنَّهُ طَبَخَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ قِدْرًا فَقَالَ لَهُ «نَاوِلْنِي ذِرَاعَهَا» وَكَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ الذِّرَاعُ فَنَاوَلَهُ الذِّرَاعَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلَهُ ذِرَاعًا ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَقُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ وَكَمْ لِلشَّاةِ مِنْ ذِرَاعٍ؟ فَقَالَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ أَنْ لَوْ سَكَتَّ لَأُعْطِيتُ أَذْرُعًا مَا دَعَوْتُ بِهِ»

[AI] "Give me the arm and I will give it to him," the Messenger of Allah said. Then he said, "Give me the arm and I will give it to him." Then he said, "Give me the arm," and the person said, "O Messenger of Allah, sheep only have two arms." He said, "If you had searched for it, you would have found it."

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَعْطِنِي الذِّرَاعَ فَنَاوَلَهَا إِيَّاهُ فَقَالَ أَعْطِنِي الذِّرَاعَ فَنَاوَلَهَا إِيَّاهُثُمَّ قَالَ أَعْطِنِي الذِّرَاعَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّمَا لِلشَّاةِ ذِرَاعَانِ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّكَ لَوِ الْتَمَسْتَهَا لَوَجَدْتَهَا

[AI] A prayer rug was made for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so it was brought to him. He said to me, "O Abu Rafi', hand me the forearm." So, I handed it to him. Then he said, "O Abu Rafi', hand me the forearm." So, I handed it to him again. Then he said, "O Abu Rafi', hand me the forearm." So, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, does the sheep have any other forearm?" He said, "If you had remained silent, I would have kept taking forearms from it. And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was fond of raising his forearms."

صُنِعَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ شَاةٌ مَصْلِيَّةٌ فَأُتِيَبِهَا فَقَالَ لِي يَا أَبَا رَافِعٍ نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ فَنَاوَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا رَافِعٍ نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ فَنَاوَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا أَبَا رَافِعٍ نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَهَلْ لِلشَّاةِ إِلَّا ذِرَاعَانِ؟ فَقَالَ لَوْ سَكَتَّ لَنَاوَلْتَنِي مِنْهَا مَا دَعَوْتُ بِهِ قَالَ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُعْجِبُهُ الذِّرَاعُ

[AI] "I slaughtered a sheep for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he said, 'Give me the foreleg.' So, I gave it to him. Then he said, 'Give me the foreleg.' So, I gave it to him. Then he said, 'Give me the foreleg.' I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, a sheep only has two forelegs.' He said, 'If you had sought it, you would have found it.'"

ذَبَحْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّمَا لِلشَّاةِ ذِرَاعَانِ قَالَ «أَمَا إِنَّكَ لَوِ ابْتَغَيْتَهُ لَوَجَدْتَهُ»

[AI] He informed him, he said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Give me the arm." So I gave it to him, then he said, "Give me the arm." So I gave it to him, then he said, "Give me the arm." So I said, "O Prophet of Allah, what about the udder of the sheep?" So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you gave it to me, you would keep giving it to me."

أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَقُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ وَلِلشَّاةِ غَيْرُ ذِرَاعَيْنِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ نَاوَلْتَنِي مَا زِلْتَ تُنَاوِلُنِي»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said to me, "Give me your arm." So, I gave it to him. Then he said, "Give me your arm." So, I gave it to him. Then he said, "Give me your arm." So, I said, "O Prophet of Allah, the sheep only has two arms." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you were to give me however much you have, you would never be deprived of giving to me."

لِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَقُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ وَلِلشَّاةِ غَيْرُ ذِرَاعَيْنِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ نَاوَلْتَنِي مَا زِلْتَ تُنَاوِلُنِي»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ instructed me to pray for him a sheep, so I prayed it for him. Then he said, "Pass me the shoulder." So, I passed him the shoulder. Then he said, "Pass me the shoulder." So, I passed him the shoulder. Then he said, "Pass me the shoulder." So, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, how many shoulders does it have?" He said, "If you had remained silent, you would have found it had more than you can count."

أَمَرَنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ أُصْلِيَ لَهُ شَاةً فَصَلَيْتُهَا لَهُ فَقَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ الذِّرَاعَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ الذِّرَاعَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَمْ لَهَا مِنْ ذِرَاعٍ؟ فَقَالَ «أَمَا لَوْ سَكَتَّ لَوَجَدْتَهَا مَا دَعَوْتُكَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon us and we had cooked mutton with us. He said, "O Abu Rafi', give me the forearm." So I handed it to him and he ate it. Then he said, "Give me the forearm." So I handed it to him and he ate it. Then he said, "Give me the forearm." So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, does the mutton have anything other than two forearms?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you had remained silent, I would have continued to eat forearms as long as I wished."

دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَعِنْدَنَا شَاةٌ مَطْبُوخَةٌ فَقَالَ «يَا أَبَا رَافِعٍ نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ فَأَكَلَهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ فَأَكَلَهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَهَلْ لِلشَّاةِ إِلَّا ذِرَاعَانِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ سَكَتَّ لَأَعْطَيْتَنِي أَذْرُعًا مَا دَعَوْتُهَا»

"أمَّا لَوْ سَكَت لَوَجَدْتَهَا مَا دعَوْتُكَ" .

ابن سعد، والحكيم، طِب عن أَبي رافع قال: أَمرني النبي ﷺ أَنْ أُصْلي له شَاةً فَصَلَيتُها ثم قال: نَاولِنِي الذِّرَاعَ فَنَاوَلْتُهُ، ثمَّ قال: ناولْنى الذِّرَاع فَناوَلْتُهُ، ثمّ قال نَاوِلْنى الذِّراع، فَقُلتُ: يا رسُول الله، كم لها من ذراع؟ قال فذكره.
