The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "On Fridays the angels sit at the gates of the Masjid writing down the peoples' names in the order in which they come. So the people are like (1) a person who sacrifices a camel, then like (2) a person who sacrifices a cow, then like (3) a person who sacrifices a sheep, then like (4) a person who sacrifices a sheep, then like (5) a person who sacrifices a chicken, then like (6) a person who sacrifices a sparrow, then like (7) a person who sacrifices an egg."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ تَقْعُدُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ يَكْتُبُونَ النَّاسَ عَلَى مَنَازِلِهِمْ فَالنَّاسُ فِيهِ كَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَدَنَةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَقَرَةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ شَاةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ دَجَاجَةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ عُصْفُورًا وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَيْضَةً

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "The sun does not rise nor set on a day better than the day of Friday. Every creature trembles on the day of Friday except for these two heavy entities from the jinn and mankind. On each gate of the mosque, there are two angels who record the first to arrive. The first to arrive is like a man who brings a camel, the first to arrive is like a man who brings a cow, the first to arrive is like a man who brings a sheep, the first to arrive is like a man who brings a bird, and the first to arrive is like a man who brings an egg. When the Imam sits down, the scrolls are rolled up."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ وَلَا تَغْرُبُ عَلَى يَوْمٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ إِلَّا تَفْزَعُ لِيَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَّا هَذَيْنِ الثَّقَلَيْنِ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ عَلَى كُلِّ بَابٍ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ مَلَكَانِ يَكْتُبَانِ الْأَوَّلَ فَالْأَوَّلَ فَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَدَنَةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَقَرَةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ شَاةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ طَائِرًا وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَيْضَةً فَإِذَا قَعَدَ الْإِمَامُ طُوِيَتْ الصُّحُفُ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "The sun does not rise on a day and does not set on a day better or greater than the day of Friday. Every living creature is in awe of the day of Friday, except for these two heavy beings from the jinn and humans. And on every gate there are two angels who write down the first, the first as a man who brings a camel, and the first as a man who brings a cow, and the first as a man who brings a sheep, and the first as a man who brings a bird, and the first as a man who brings an egg. When the Imam sits down, the records are folded."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When it is the day of Friday, the angels sit at the doors of the mosque, recording the people as they come. One man brought a pig, another brought a cow, another brought a sheep, another brought a chicken, another brought a sparrow, and another brought an egg. Then when the caller to prayer calls the adhan and the Imam sits on the pulpit, the books are folded up and they enter the mosque to listen to the remembrance (of Allah)."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ قَعَدَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَيَكْتُبُونَ النَّاسَ مَنْ جَاءَ مِنَ النَّاسِ عَلَى مَنَازِلِهِمْ فَرَجُلٌ قَدَّمَ جَزُورًا وَرَجُلٌ قَدَّمَ بَقَرَةً وَرَجُلٌ قَدَّمَ شَاةً وَرَجُلٌ قَدَّمَ دَجَاجَةً وَرَجُلٌ قَدَّمَ عُصْفُورًا وَرَجُلٌ قَدَّمَ بَيْضَةً قَالَ فَإِذَا أَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ وَجَلَسَ الْإِمَامُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ طُوِيَتِ الصُّحُفُ وَدَخَلُوا الْمَسْجِدَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الذِّكْرَ

[AI] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: "On every door of the mosque, there are two angels who take turns in writing. The first angel records the first (person) to enter, whether it be a man who came with a camel, a cow, a sheep, a bird, or an egg. When the imam sits down (to deliver the sermon), the records are folded up."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «عَلَى كُلِّ بَابٍ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ مَلَكَانِ يَكْتُبَانِ الْأَوْلَ فَالْأَوْلَ فَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَدَنَةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَقَرَةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ شَاةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ طَيْرًا وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَيْضَةً فَإِذَا قَعَدَ الْإِمَامُ طُوِيَتِ الصُّحُفُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun does not rise or set on a day better than the day of Friday, and every animal except for two, the jinn and humans, becomes restless on the day of Friday. There are two angels at each door of the mosque, recording the first to come as the first, whether it is a man who came with a camel, a man who came with a cow, a man who came with a sheep, a man who came with a bird, or a man who came with an egg. When the Imam sits down, the scrolls are rolled up."

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "The sun does not rise on a day better or more great than Friday, and every creature is alarmed for the day of Friday, except for these two weighty beings from the jinn and mankind. And on every gate, there are two angels who record first and foremost. The one who arrives with a camel is like a man who presented a camel, and the one who arrives with a cow is like a man who presented a cow, and the one who arrives with a sheep is like a man who presented a sheep, and the one who arrives with a bird is like a man who presented a bird, and the one who arrives with an egg is like a man who presented an egg. Then, when the imam sits, the scrolls are folded." (Hadith number 11921)

And from Muhammad ibn Abdul A'la, from Yazid ibn Zurai', from Ruha ibn al-Qasim, from Ala' ibn Abdul Rahman, with the same content. (Hadith number 11922)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «مَا تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ بِيَوْمٍ وَلَا تَغْرُبُ بِأَفْضَلَ أَوْ أَعْظَمَ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ إِلَّا تَفْزَعُ لِيَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَّا هَذَانِ الثَّقَلَانِ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ وَعَلَى كُلِّ بَابٍ مَلَكَانِ يَكْتُبَانِ الْأَوَّلَ فَالْأَوَّلَ كَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَدَنَةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَقَرَةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ شَاةً وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ طَيْرًا وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَيْضَةً فَإِذَا قَعَدَ الْإِمَامُ طُوِيَتِ الصُّحُفُ» 11921 وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ زُرَيْعٍ عَنْ رَوْحِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بِهِ 11922 وَعَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بِهِ

"إذَا كانَ يوْمُ الجُمعةِ قعدَتْ الملائكةُ على أبوابِ المساجدِ يكتُبونَ النَّاسَ، منْ جاءَ مِنَ النَّاس عَلَى قدْرِ منازِلِهم، فرَجُلٌ قدَّمَ جزورًا، ورجُلٌ قدم بقرةً ، ورجلٌ قدَّمَ دَجَاجة، ورجل قدَّمَ عُصْفورًا، ورجل قدَّمَ بيضة، فإِذا أذَّن المؤذِّنُ وجلَسَ الإِمامُ على المنبرِ طوَوا الصُّحف ودَخلوا المسجدَ يستمعُونَ الذكر".

"تَقْعُدُ الْمَلَائكَةُ يَوَم الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى أَبْوَاب الْمَسَاجدِ، يَكْتُبُونَ النَّاسَ عَلَى مَنَازِلِهِمْ؛ فالنَّاسُ فِيهِ كرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَدَنَةً، وَكَرَجُل قدَّمَ بَقَرَةً، وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ شَاةً، وَكَرَجْلٍ قَدَّمَ دَجاجةً، وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ عُصْفُورًا، وَكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَيْضَةً".

"عَلَى كلِّ بَابٍ مِنْ أَبواب المسجِد ملكَان يَكتُبانِ: الأَوَّلَ فَالأوَّلَ، فَكَرَجلٍ قَدَّمَ بَدَنَةً، وكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ بَقرَةً، وكَرَجُلٍ قَدَّمَ شَاةً، وكَرَجل قَدمَ طَيرًا، وكَرجلٍ قَدَّم بَيضَةً، فَإِذَا قَعَدَ الإِمَامُ طُويت الصُّحفُ".
