[Machine] Umar’s letter came to us at Khaniqin: “Indeed, some new moons are larger than others. So if you see the crescent at the beginning of the day, do not break the fast until two witnesses testify that they saw it the previous night.”
أَتَانَا كِتَابُ عُمَرَ بِخَانِقِينَ إِنَّ الْأَهِلَّةَ بَعْضُهَا أَعْظَمُ مِنْ بَعْضٍ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْهِلَالَ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ فَلَا تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى يَشْهَدَ شَاهِدَانِ أَنَّهُمَا رَأَيَاهُ بِالْأَمْسِ
