[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for water and performed ablution repeatedly; he sprinkled himself with water. Imam Ahmad said: "And he sprinkled himself" is narrated solely by Qabeessa from Sufyan, and it is narrated by a group from Sufyan without this addition.

البيهقي:٧٥٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو وَقَالُوا أنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا قَبِيصَةُ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

دَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِمَاءٍ وَتَوَضَّأَ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً وَنَضَحَ قَالَ الْإِمَامُ أَحْمَدُ قَوْلُهُ وَنَضَحَ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ قَبِيصَةُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَرَوَاهُ جَمَاعَةٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ دُونَ هَذِهِ الزِّيَادَةِ
