[Machine] The companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise their hands when they bowed and when they raised their heads from the bowing position, as if their hands were fans.  

البيهقي:٢٥٢٤وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثنا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ

كَانَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْفَعُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ إِذَا رَكَعُوا وَإِذَا رَفَعُوا رُءُوسَهُمْ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ كَأَنَّمَا أَيْدِيهُمْ مَرَاوِحٌ
