[Machine] There was a slave between two men, and one of them freed his share. He then rode with his partner to Umar and wrote that the highest value should be established.  

البيهقي:٢١٣٣٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثنا أَزْهَرُ السَّمَّانُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ

كَانَ عَبْدٌ بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ فَأَعْتَقَ أَحَدُهُمَا نَصِيبَهُ فَرَكِبَ شَرِيكُهُ إِلَى عُمَرَ ؓ فَكَتَبَ أَنْ يُقَوَّمَ أَغْلَى الْقِيمَةِ

"عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرين قَال: كَانَ عَبْدٌ بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ، فَأَعْتَقَ أحَدُهُمَا نَصِيَبهُ، فَرَكِبَ شَرِيكُهُ إِلَى عُمَرَ، فكَتَبَ أَنْ يُقَّوَّم أَعْلَى الْقِيمةِ".  

مسدد، [ق] البيهقى في السنن
