How could I take a part of her land, after what I heard from Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon'him)? He (Marwan) said: What did you hear from Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He said: I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: He who wrongly took a span of land would be made to wear around his neck seven earths. Marwan said: I do not ask any evidence from you after this. He (Sa'id) said: O Allah, make her blind if she has told a lie and kill her in her own land. He (the narrator) said: She did not die until she had lost her eyesight, and (one day) as she was walking in her land, she fell down into a pit and died. (Using translation from Muslim 1610c)   

البيهقي:١١٥٣٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ أنبأ أَبُو يَعْلَى الْمَوْصِلِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ أَرْوَى بِنْتَ أَوْسٍ ادَّعَتْ عَلَى سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ أَخَذَ شَيْئًا مِنْ أَرْضِهَا فَخَاصَمَتْهُ إِلَى مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ فَقَالَ

سَعِيدٌ أَنَا كُنْتُ آخُذُ مِنْ أَرْضِهَا شَيْئًا بَعْدَ الَّذِي سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ وَمَاذَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ يَعْنِي ظُلْمًا طُوِّقَهُ إِلَى سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَرْوَانُ لَا أَسْأَلُكَ بَيِّنَةً بَعْدَ هَذَا قَالَ اللهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَتْ كَاذِبَةً فَأَعْمِ بَصَرَهَا وَاقْتُلْهَا فِي أَرْضِهَا قَالَ فَمَا مَاتَتْ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ بَصَرُهَا فَبَيْنَا هِيَ تَمْشِي فِي أَرْضِهَا إِذْ وَقَعَتْ فِي حُفْرَةٍ فَمَاتَتْ

[Machine] He stole my land and entered it into his own land, so Sa'id said, "I would not have stolen from it after I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, 'Whoever steals a hand span of land, he will be encircled by it up to seven earths.'" He then said, "I do not ask you for anything after this." Sa'id said, "O Allah, if this is a lie, then take away her eyesight and kill her in her own land." So her eyesight disappeared and she fell into a pit in her own land and died.  

الطبراني:٣٤٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ أَرْوَى بِنْتَ أُوَيْسٍ اسْتَعَدْتَ مَرْوَانَ عَلَى سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَتْ

سَرَقَ مِنِّي أَرْضِي فَأَدْخَلَهَا فِي أَرْضِهِ فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ مَا كُنْتُ لِأَسْرِقَ مِنْهَا بَعْدَمَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ سَرَقَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ طُوِّقَ إِلَى سَبْعِ الْأَرْضِينَ» فَقَالَ لَا أَسْأَلُكُ بَعْدَ هَذَا فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ اللهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَتْ كَاذِبَةً فَأَذْهِبْ بَصَرَهَا وَاقْتُلْهَا فِي أَرْضِهَا فَذَهَبَ بَصَرُهَا وَوَقَعَتْ فِي حُفْرَةٍ فِي أَرْضِهَا فَمَاتَتْ
