[Machine] That Amr ibn al-Aas used to perform ablution before every prayer, and Qatadah would follow his method. And this is a transmitted narration.  

البيهقي:١٠٥٦وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ يَعْنِي الْحَنْظَلِيَّ أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ

أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ كَانَ يُحْدِثُ لِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ تَيَمُّمًا وَكَانَ قَتَادَةُ يَأْخُذُ بِهِ وَهَذَا مُرْسَلٌ
