52. Chapter (2/2)
[Machine] "And the Prophet ﷺ wrote to him that he should inherit the woman with the amount of money equal to the value of a distinctive camel from his wealth. Then Umar returned to him. In the narration of Al-Zuhrani, it is mentioned that he inherited the woman with the amount of money equal to the value of a distinctive camel from her husband's inheritance."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ wrote to Dahak ibn Sufyan, instructing him to give a woman from the tribe of Ad-Dibabiyya her rightful inheritance. Ibn Shihab said that Ashyam was accidentally killed.
[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ with my paternal uncle. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, the blood money for my father is with this man, so tell him to give it to me." He said, "Give him the blood money of his father." My father was killed during the pre-Islamic era. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, should my mother receive anything from it?" He replied, "Yes, and the blood money for his father is one hundred camels."
[Machine] "It is from the books of Abi Qilabah, and I found in it what Muhammad ibn Thabit al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah mentioned from a case that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ judged, that the blood money between the heirs is an inheritance according to the Book of Allah ﷻ."
52.12 [Machine] The testimony over the crime
A man of the Ansar was killed at Khaybar and his relatives went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He asked: Have you two witnesses who can testify to the murderer of your friend? They replied: Messenger of Allah! there was not a single Muslim present, but only Jews who sometimes have the audacity to do even greater crimes than this. He said: Then choose fifty of them and demand that they take an oath; but they refused and the Prophet ﷺ paid the blood-wit himself. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4524)
[Machine] Our companions may be beaten and not die from it, so when they didn't say "kill him", they didn't pass judgment on him.
52.13 [Machine] The Gathering of Gates of Authority in the Sorcerer
52.14 [Machine] Whoever says: Magic has a reality Allah says: {And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic} [Al-Baqarah: 102] until His statement: {But they do not harm anyone through it except by the permission of Allah. And they learn what harms them and does not benefit them} [Al-Baqarah: 102] the verse
Magic was worked on Messenger of Allah ﷺ so that he began to imagine that he had done something although he had not. One day while he was with me, he invoked Allah and invoked for a long period and then said, "O ʿAisha! Do you know that Allah has instructed me regarding the matter I asked Him about?" I asked, "What is that, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" He said, "Two men came to me; one of them sat near my head and the other sat near my feet. One of them asked his companion, 'What is the disease of this man?' The other replied, 'He is under the effect of magic.' The first one asked, 'Who has worked magic on him?" The other replied, 'Labid bin A'sam, a Jew from the tribe of Bani Zuraiq.' The (first one asked), 'With what has it been done?' The other replied, 'With a a comb and the hair stuck to it and a skin of the pollen of a male datepalm tree.' The first one asked, 'Where is it?' The other replied, 'In the well of Dharwan.' Then the Prophet ﷺ went along with some of his companions to that well and looked at that and there were date palms near to it. Then he returned to me and said, 'By Allah the water of that well was (red) like the infusion of Henna leaves and its date-palms were like the heads of devils" I said, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Did you take those materials out of the pollen skin?" He said, 'No! As for me Allah has healed me and cured me and I was afraid that (by Showing that to the people) I would spread evil among them when he ordered that the well be filled up with earth, and it was filled up with earth " (Using translation from Bukhārī 5766)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever starts his day with seven dates from the Medina Ajwa variety, he will not be harmed by any poison or sorcery that day." This hadith is narrated by Abu Badr and in another narration by Saad bin Abi Waqqas. Hashim said, "I do not know that Aamir mentioned anything except of the Ajwa Al-A'liyah variety."
52.15 [Machine] The Execution and Killing of the Sorcerer, if the Sorcery He Practices is Clearly Blasphemous.
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever has intercourse with a menstruating woman, or with a woman in her rear, or who goes to a fortuneteller and believes what he says, he has disbelieved in that which was revealed to Muhammad.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 639)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The punishment for the sorcerer is to be struck with a sword. Isma'il ibn Muslim is weak."
[Machine] People, Subhan Allah, He revives the dead, and a man from the righteous immigrants witnessed it. So, he looked at him. When it was the next day, he went and played with his sword. The man took his sword and struck his neck, killing him. He said, "If he is telling the truth, let him bring himself back to life." Al-Walid ordered him to be imprisoned and he was a righteous man. So, he imprisoned him and was amazed by his resemblance to the man. He asked, "Can you escape?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Then go, Allah will never question me about you."
52.16 [Machine] Accepting the repentance of the sorcerer and injecting his blood with his repentance.
I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah, and he who professed it was guaranteed the protection of his property and life on my behalf except for the right affairs rest with Allah. (Using translation from Muslim 21a)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, Allah extends His hand at night to forgive those who have done wrong during the day, and extends His hand during the day to forgive those who have done wrong at night, until the sun rises from its west."
[Machine] The wife of the Prophet ﷺ said, "A woman from the people of Dumat Al-Jundal came to me seeking the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after his death. She came to ask him about something related to magic that had happened to her but she didn't act upon it. Aisha said to Urwa, 'O nephew, I saw her crying when she couldn't find the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . She kept crying until I had pity on her and told her, 'I am afraid that I have been destroyed.' I had a husband who was away from me, so I went to an old woman and complained to her about it. She said to me, 'If you do what I tell you, he will come to you.' When the night came, she brought two black dogs to me. She rode one and I rode the other. It didn't take long before we reached Babylon, where we saw two men hanging by their feet. They asked me, 'What has brought you?' I said, 'I am learning magic.' They said, 'We are only a trial, so do not disbelieve and return.' I refused and said, 'No.' They said, 'Go to that water tank and urinate in it.' So I went and did that, but nothing happened. I returned to them and they asked me, 'Did you do it?' I said, 'Yes.' They asked, 'Did you see anything?' I said, 'I didn't see anything.' They said, 'You lied, you didn't do it; go back to your land and do not disbelieve, for you are in charge of your affair.' I refused and said, 'No.' They said, 'Go to that water tank and urinate in it, then come back.' So I went to it and urinated in it, and I saw a masked knight with iron armor coming out of me. He went up into the sky and disappeared from my sight. I went back to them and said, 'I did it.' They asked, 'Did you see anything?' I said, 'I saw a masked knight coming out of me and going up into the sky, disappearing from my sight.' They said, 'You told the truth, this is your faith that has come out of you. Go now.' I said to the woman, 'By Allah, I don't know anything and he didn't say anything to me.' She said, 'Yes, if you want something, take this wheat and scatter it.' So I scattered it and said, 'Grow.' It grew, and I said, 'Stand up.' It stood up. Then I said, 'Bind.' And it was bound. Then I said, 'Dry.' And it dried. Then I said, 'Grind.' And it was ground. Then I said, 'Bake.' And it was baked. When I saw that I didn't want anything but it happened, I regretted it and said, 'By Allah, O mother of the believers, I have never done anything before and I will never do it again.' She asked the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ and they were all present on that day, but they didn't know what to say to her. They were all afraid to issue a fatwa without knowledge. Ibn Abbas or someone with him said, 'If her father and mother were alive, they would have given her a guarantee.' Ibn Abi Zinad said, 'Hisham used to say, 'They were people of righteousness and fear of Allah, far from pretense and daring before Allah. But if a similar woman came today, she would find people pretending to be foolish, without knowledge.' And Allah knows best."

[Machine] Her brothers mentioned her complaint to a man from the tribe of Az-Zutt, who wears perfume. He told them, "You remember a bewitched woman, enchanted by a servant girl of hers, in the neighborhood of the servant girl. Now, a boy has been afflicted in her house." They mentioned this to Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, and she said, "Pray for me, so-and-so, for a servant girl who has a boy in her house." They said, "The boy is afflicted in her house." She said, "Bring her to me." They brought her to her and she asked her, "Did you bewitch me?" She said, "Yes." She asked her, "Why?" She said, "I wanted to be freed." Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, freed her as a redemption from that sin. She said, "Indeed, it is up to Allah to never set you free. Look at the worst of the Arabs, a queen, they sold her among them and bought a slave girl with her price, so she could free her."

52.18 [Machine] What is mentioned in the prohibition of fortune-telling and seeking guidance from soothsayers
[Machine] "The companions of the Prophet ﷺ said, 'O Messenger of Allah, among us are men who see bad omens.' He said, 'That is something you find in yourselves, so do not let it deter you.' They said, 'And among us are men who visit fortune-tellers.' He said, 'Do not visit fortune-tellers.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , narrated three hadiths: He said, "O Messenger of Allah, we used to have conversations during the period of ignorance, but Allah has brought Islam, and some of us still have superstitions." He said, "They can't be stopped from that which they find in their hearts." I said, "And some of us go to fortunetellers." He said, "They should not go to them." I said, "And some of us practice divination." He said, "There was a prophet among the prophets who practiced divination, and whoever approves of their method, then that is acceptable."
He who visits a diviner ('Arraf) and asks him about anything, his prayers extending to forty nights will not be accepted. (Using translation from Muslim 2230)
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, the fortune tellers may tell us something that is true." He said, "That statement is part of the truth. However, the jinn takes hold of it and throws it into the ear of his friend, adding to it more than a hundred lies."
A person from the Ansar who was amongst the Companions of Messenger of Allah ﷺ reported to me: As we were sitting during the night with Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a meteor shot gave a dazzling light. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: What did you say in the pre-Islamic days when there was such a shot (of meteor)? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best (the actual position), but we, however, used to say that that very night a great man had been born and a great man had died, whereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: (These meteors) are shot neither at the death of anyone nor on the birth of anyone. Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, issues Command when He decides to do a thing. Then (the Angels) supporting the Throne sing His glory, then sing the dwellers of heaven who are near to them until this glory of God reaches them who are in the heaven of this world. Then those who are near the supporters of the Throne ask these supporters of the Throne: What your Lord has said? And they accordingly inform them what He says. Then the dwellers of heaven seek information from them until this information reaches the heaven of the world. In this process of transmission (the jinn snatches) what he manages to overhear and he carries it to his friends. And when the Angels see the jinn they attack them with meteors. If they narrate only which they manage to snatch that is correct but they alloy it with lies and make additions to it. (Using translation from Muslim 2229a)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever takes knowledge from the stars, he has taken a branch of sorcery. And whatever increases, increases." Isma'il reported to us about it from Ali in another place, and he said in it about Ibn Abbas that he said, "I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying," and then he mentioned the hadith.

52.20 [Machine] Al-'iyaafati wal-tiyarati wal-tarq
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "Al-i'aafah (abstinence), at-tarq (staying away), and at-tayyarah (superstitious beliefs associated with birds) are from al-jibt (superstitions)."
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Ja'far al-Qutai'i narrated, Abdullah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal narrated, my father narrated to me, Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated, Awf mentioned it in a similar way, saying: "Al-i'aafah is the sound that birds make when they are scared, at-tarq refers to when a person traces lines on the ground, and al-jibt is attributed to Shaytan (the devil)."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and in another narration, Shu'bah narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that al-Tayyarah (superstitious belief in omens) is shirk (polytheism), and there is none of us except that Allah eliminates it through reliance on Him.
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is no 'tayyarah' (superstitious owl). But the best among them is the 'fal' (omen). It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the 'fal'?" He said, "A righteous word that one of you hears."
[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , he said: "There is no contagious disease, nor is there any bird omen. And I am amazed by the righteous person's favorable outcome and the good word."
When taking omens was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: The best type is the good omen, and it does not turn back a Muslim. If one of you sees anything he dislikes, he should say: O Allah, no one brings good things except Thee, and no one averts evil things except Thee and there is no might and power but in Allah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3919)
The Prophet ﷺ did not take omens from anything, but when he sent out an agent he asked about his name. If it pleased him, he was glad about it, and his cheerfulness on that account was visible in his face. If he disliked his name, his displeasure on that account was visible in his face. When he entered a village, he asked about its name, and if it pleased him, he was glad about it, and his cheerfulness on that account was visible in his face. But if he disliked its name, his displeasure on that account was visible in his face. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3920)
The Prophet ﷺ said: There is no hamah, no infection and no evil omen; if there is in anything an evil omen, it is a house, a horse, and a woman. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3921)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "The people of Jahiliyyah used to say that omens are only found in women, animals, and houses." Then I recited, "No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being - indeed that, for Allah, is easy" [Surah Al-Hadid 22].

A man said: Messenger of Allah! we were in an abode in which our numbers and our goods were many and changed to an abode in which our numbers and our goods became few. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Leave it, for it is reprehensible. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3924)

[Machine] "O Messenger of Allah, we have lived in this house for a long time, and we have become numerous. Our good manners have deteriorated, and our wealth has increased, leading us to poverty. Should we move away from it, even though it is spacious?" The Prophet replied, "You can either sell it or give it away." Abu Sulaiman Al-Khattabi said, based on what I have heard, it is likely that he ordered them to leave it in order to nullify the false sense of attachment they had towards it. Once they moved away, the attachment to material possessions would be severed. And Allah knows best."
