We four persons, came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and we (i.e. each one of us) had horses. He therefore, allotted one portion for each of us, and two portions for his horse. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2734)  

أحمد:١٧٢٣٩حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَمْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ أَرْبَعَةُ نَفَرٍ وَمَعَنَا فَرَسٌ فَأَعْطَى كُلَّ إِنْسَانٍ مِنَّا سَهْمًا وَأَعْطَى الْفَرَسَ سَهْمَيْنِ
