It was narrated from ‘Abdur-Rahman bin ‘Uqbah bin Fakih bin Sa’d, from his grandfather Fakih bin Sa’d, who was a Companion of the Prophet ﷺ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to take a bath on the Day of Fitr, the Day of Nahr, and the day of ‘Arafah, and Fakih used to tell his family to have a bath on these days. أحمد:١٦٧٢٠ – قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنِي نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْخَطْمِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْفَاكِهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْفَاكِهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَيَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ وَيَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ قَالَ وَكَانَ الْفَاكِهُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ بِالْغُسْلِ فِي هَذِهِ الْأَيَّامِ
