[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent me on an errand, so I came to him while he was praying on his mount towards the east, and he gestured with a nod for prostration, lowering himself further than the bowing position. I greeted him, and when he finished, he asked, "What did you do about such-and-such matter?" I replied, "I was praying."

أحمد:١٤٥٥٥ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي حَاجَةٍ فَجِئْتُ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَيُومِئُ إِيمَاءً السُّجُودُ أَخْفَضُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ مَا فَعَلْتَ فِي حَاجَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا؟ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me on some business, and when I came to him he was praying on (the back of) his riding beast (moving) towards the east and making the prostration lower than the bowing.

أبو داود:١٢٢٧ – حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي حَاجَةٍ قَالَ فَجِئْتُ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالسُّجُودُ أَخْفَضُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent me for a need, so I came and he was riding on his mount, with his face turned towards the east, and he was nodding his head as a sign. I spoke to him, but he did not respond to me. When he finished, he said, "Indeed, I was praying."

أحمد:١٥٠٦١ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ يَعْنِي الثَّوْرِيَّ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِحَاجَةٍ فَجِئْتُ وَهُوَ يَسِيرُ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَوَجْهُهُ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ وَهُوَ يُومِئُ إِيمَاءً فَكَلَّمْتُهُ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي

ahmad:15175 – ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Sufyān > Abū al-Zubayr > Jābir

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent me for a need, so I came while he was praying towards the east and he gestured with his head towards his mount to prostrate. I greeted him, but he did not respond. After he finished his prayer, he asked, "What did you do with the need that I sent you for? I was praying."

أحمد:١٥١٧٥ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِحَاجَةٍ فَجِئْتُ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَيُومِئُ إِيمَاءً عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ السُّجُودُ أَخْفَضُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ قَالَ فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ مَا فَعَلْتَ فِي حَاجَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا إِنِّي كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent me for a need, so I came to him while he was praying on his riding animal towards the east. The prostration is lower than the bowing, so I greeted him, but he did not respond to me. When he finished, he said, "I was praying."

البيهقي:٢٢١١ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ ؓ قَالَ

" بَعَثَنِى رَسُولُ الله ﷺ لِحَاجَةٍ فَجئْتُ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّى نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَيُومِئُ بِرَأسِهِ إِيمَاءً عَلَى رَاحلَتهِ، السُّجُودُ أَخْفَضُ منَ الرُّكوع، فَسَلَّمْتُ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَىَّ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلاَتهُ قَالَ: مَا فَعَلْتَ فِى حَاجَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا إِنِّى كُنْتُ أُصَلِّى ".
