[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ ate a shoulder, then prayed without performing ablution.  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَكَلَ كَتِفًا ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ  

"The Messenger of Allah forbade (eating) animals that had been taken as targets, the milk of Al-Jallalah (animals that eat dung), and drinking directly from water skins." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4448)  

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ لَبَنِ شَاةِ الْجَلالَةِ وَعَنِ الْمُجَثَّمَةِ وَعَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ  

[Machine] Either don't ask Fulanah al-Ansariyyah if the Prophet ﷺ commanded her to do that, or Zaid returned to Ibn Abbas laughing and said, "I only see that you have spoken the truth."  

إِمَّا لَا فَاسْأَلْ فُلَانَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةَ هَلْ أَمَرَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِذَلِكَ؟ فَرَجَعَ زَيْدٌ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَضْحَكُ فَقَالَ مَا أُرَاكَ إِلا قَدْ صَدَقْتَ  

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no Hijra (i.e. migration) (from Mecca to Medina) after the Conquest (of Mecca), but Jihad and good intention remain; and if you are called (by the Muslim ruler) for fighting, go forth immediately. (Using translation from Bukhārī 2783)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ الْفَتْحِ وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ وَإِذَا اسْتُنْفِرْتُمْ فَانْفِرُوا  

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , "Or a trace of knowledge." (Surah Al-Ahqaf, 4) Al-Khattu said,  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ {أَوْ أَثَرَةٍ مِنْ عِلْمٍ} [الأحقاف 4] قَالَ الْخَطُّ  

During the Subh prayer on Friday, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite: "Alif-Lam-Mim. The Revelation"(As-Sajdah 32) and: "Has there not been over man,"(Al-Insan 76) and in Jumu'ah prayer he would recite Al-Jumu'ah (62) and Al-Munafiqin (63). (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1421)   

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلاةِ الصُّبْحِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ الم تَنْزِيلُ وَهَلْ أَتَى وَفِي الْجُمُعَةِ بِسُورَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَإِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ  

[Machine] I heard Ibn Abbas saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate from what fire had changed, then he prayed without performing ablution."  

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ أَكَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِمَّا غَيَّرَتِ النَّارُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ  

"We used to travel with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ between Makkah and Al-Madinah, fearing nothing but Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, and praying two rak'ahs." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1436)   

سِرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ لَا يَخَافُ إِلا اللهَ ﷻ  

[Machine] I said to Ibn Abbas, "If you are not able to catch the prayer in the mosque, how many units do you pray with the Bat-ha?" He said, "Two units; those are the sunnah of the Prophet's father, ﷺ ."  

قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ إِذَا لَمْ تُدْرِكِ الصَّلاةَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ كَمْ تُصَلِّي بِالْبَطْحَاءِ؟ قَالَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ تِلْكَ سُنَّةُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ  

The Prophet ﷺ used to supplicate Allah: "My Lord, help me and do not give help against me; grant me victory, and do not grant victory over me; plan on my behalf and do not plan against me; guide me, and made my right guidance easy for me; grant me victory over those who act wrongfully towards me; O Allah, make me grateful to Thee, mindful of Thee, full of fear towards Thee, devoted to Thy obedience, humble before Thee, or penitent. My Lord, accept my repentance, wash away my sin, answer my supplication, clearly establish my evidence, guide my heart, make true my tongue and draw out malice in my breast." (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1510)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَدْعُو رَبِّ أَعِنِّي وَلا تُعِنْ عَلَيَّ وَانْصُرْنِي وَلا تَنْصُرْ عَلَيَّ وَامْكُرْ لِي وَلا تَمْكُرْ عَلَيَّ وَاهْدِنِي وَيَسِّرِ الْهُدَى إِلَيَّ وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ بَغَى عَلَيَّ رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي لَكَ شَكَّارًا لَكَ ذَكَّارًا لَكَ رَهَّابًا لَكَ مِطْوَاعًا إِلَيْكَ مُخْبِتًا لَكَ أَوَّاهًا مُنِيبًا رَبِّ تَقَبَّلْ تَوْبَتِي وَاغْسِلْ حَوْبَتِي وَأَجِبْ دَعْوَتِي وَثَبِّتْ حُجَّتِي وَاهْدِ قَلْبِي وَسَدِّدْ لِسَانِي وَاسْلُلْ سَخِيمَةَ قَلْبِي  

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast until we thought he would never stop fasting. And he used to not fast until we thought we would never fast. And he never fasted any complete month apart from Ramadan, from the time he came to Al- Madinah.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1711)  

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ لَا يُفْطِرُ وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ لَا يَصُومُ وَمَا صَامَ شَهْرًا تَامًّا مُنْذُ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ إِلا رَمَضَانَ  

“This and this are the same” - meaning the pinky finger, ring finger and thumb. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2652)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ هَذِهِ وَهَذِهِ سَوَاءٌ الْخِنْصَرُ وَالْإِبْهَامُ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "No person acquires knowledge from the stars except that he has acquired a part of magic with it. And whatever he increases, increases."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا اقْتَبَسَ رَجُلٌ عِلْمًا مِنَ النُّجُومِ إِلا اقْتَبَسَ بِهَا شُعْبَةً مِنَ السِّحْرِ مَا زَادَ زَادَ  

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "If someone intends to perform a good deed and does it, ten rewards will be written for them. And if they intend to do a good deed but do not do it, one reward will still be written for them. If they intend to commit an evil deed and do it, a sin will be written for them. And if they intend to commit an evil deed but do not do it, a good deed will still be written for them."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنْ هَمَّ بِحَسَنَةٍ فَعَمِلَهَا كُتِبَتْ عَشْرًا وَإِنْ لَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا كُتِبَتْ حَسَنَةً وَإِنْ هَمَّ بِسَيِّئَةٍ فَعَمِلَهَاكُتِبَتْ سَيِّئَةً وَإِنْ لَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا كُتِبَتْ حَسَنَةً  

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate meat or a tendon, then he prayed without touching water.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَكَلَ لَحْمًا أَوْ عَرْقًا فَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَمَسَّ مَاءً  

[Machine] "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ , did you not benefit from its (the animal sacrifice) fear? Did you not dye it (the animal) with its blood? Indeed, it is its (the animal's) disposition."  

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَلا انْتَفَعْتُمْ بِإِهَابِهَا أَلا دَبَغْتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ ذَكَاتُهُ  

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the Eid prayer without the call to prayer or the call to commence the prayer.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى الْعِيدَ بِغَيْرِ أَذَانٍ وَلا إِقَامَةٍ  

[Machine] O Messenger of Allah, her mother was fasting for a month and then she died. Should she fast on her behalf? He said, "If your mother had a debt, would you pay it off?" She said, "Yes." He said, "Then the debt owed to Allah deserves to be fulfilled."  

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّهَا صَوْمُ شَهْرٍ فَمَاتَتْ أَفَأَصُومُهُ عَنْهَا؟ قَالَ لَوْ كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّكِ دَيْنٌ أَكُنْتِ قَاضِيَتَهُ؟ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَدَيْنُ اللهِ ﷻ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُقْضَى  

The Prophet ﷺ cursed effeminate men (those men who are in the similitude (assume the manners of women) and those women who assume the manners of men, and he said, "Turn them out of your houses ." The Prophet ﷺ turned out such-and-such man, and ʿUmar turned out such-and-such woman. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5886)  

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُتَرَجِّلاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالْمُخَنَّثِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالَ وَقَالَ أَخْرِجُوهُمْ مِنْ بُيُوتِكُمْ قَالَ فَأَخْرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فُلانًا وَأَخْرَجَ عُمَرُ فُلانًا  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ drank milk, then rinsed his mouth and said, "Indeed,  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ شَرِبَ لَبَنًا فَمَضْمَضَ وَقَالَ إِنَّ  

[Machine] Abu Talib fell ill, so the Quraysh came to visit him and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to heal him. There was a man sitting by his head, so Abu Jahl stood up and sat in his place. They said, "Your nephew falls into our gods, and what is the matter with your people complaining about you?" He said, "O uncle, I want to propose to them one word that the Arabs can adhere to and the non-Arabs can pay the jizyah (tax) with." They asked, "What is it?" He said, "There is no god but Allah." They stood up and said, "Will he make the gods into one god?" So "S" and "Al-Quran Dhil Dhikr" [Sura 38] was revealed, and he recited until he reached "Indeed, this is something amazing" [Sura 38:5].  

مَرِضَ أَبُو طَالِبٍ فَأَتَتْهُ قُرَيْشٌ وَأَتَاهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَعُودُهُ وَعِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ مَقْعَدُ رَجُلٍ فَقَامَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ فَقَعَدَ فِيهِ فَقَالُوا إِنَّ ابْنَ أَخِيكَ يَقَعُ فِي آلِهَتِنَا وَقَالَ مَا شَأْنُ قَوْمِكَ يَشْكُونَكَ؟ قَالَ يَا عَمِّ أُرِيدُهُمْ عَلَى كَلِمَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ تَدِينُ لَهُمْ بِهَا الْعَرَبُ وَتُؤَدِّي الْعَجَمُ إِلَيْهِمْ الْجِزْيَةَ قَالَ مَا هِيَ؟ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللهُ فَقَامُوا فَقَالُوا أَجَعَلَ الْآلِهَةَ إِلَهًا وَاحِدًا؟ قَالَ وَنَزَلَ {ص وَالْقُرْآنِ ذِي الذِّكْرِ} [ص 1] فَقَرَأَ حَتَّى بَلَغَ {إِنَّ هَذَا لَشَيْءٌ عُجَابٌ} [ص 5]  

[Machine] I am a man from the people of Khurasan, and indeed our land is a cold land. He mentioned the types of alcoholic beverages, so he said, "Stay away from whatever intoxicates from grapes, dates, or anything similar to that." He said, "What do you say about wine made from dates?" He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade wine made from dates."  

إِنِّي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ خُرَاسَانَ وَإِنَّ أَرْضَنَا أَرْضٌ بَارِدَةٌ فَذَكَرَ مِنْ ضُرُوبِ الشَّرَابِ فَقَالَ اجْتَنِبْ مَا أَسْكَرَ مِنْ زَبِيبٍ أَوْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ مَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ قَالَ مَا تَقُولُ فِي نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ؟ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ  

[Machine] He told him about the Prophet ﷺ saying, "It is as if I am looking at him, wearing a black cloak while circumambulating the Kaaba, punctuating it with stones."  

أَخْبَرَهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ أَسْوَدَ أَفْحَجَ يَنْقُضُهَا حَجَرًا حَجَرًا يَعْنِي الْكَعْبَةَ  

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Cleanse your nose well (after snuffing up water) twice or thrice. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 141)   

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ اسْتَنْثِرُوا مَرَّتَيْنِ بَالِغَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاثًا  

" There is no god but Allah, the Great, the Tolerant, there is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Magnificent Throne There is no god but Allah, the Lord of the Heaven and the earth, the Lord of the Edifying Throne." (Using translation from Muslim 2730a)  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ عِنْدَ الْكَرْبِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلااللهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ  

The Prophet ﷺ said, "I was granted victory with As-Saba and the nation of 'Ad was destroyed by Ad- Dabur (westerly wind) . (Using translation from Bukhārī 1035)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ نُصِرْتُ بِالصَّبَا وَأُهْلِكَتْ عَادٌ بِالدَّبُورِ  

[Machine] He informed him that the Prophet ﷺ got married while it was forbidden.  

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَكَحَ وَهُوَ حَرَامٌ  

[Machine] He informed him that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ giving a sermon and saying, "Whoever does not find a lower garment and finds trousers should wear them, and whoever does not find sandals and finds shoes should wear them." I said, "Should they not be cut?" He said, "No."  

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ إِزَارًا وَوَجَدَ سَرَاوِيلَ فَلْيَلْبَسْهَا وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ وَوَجَدَ خُفَّيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْهُمَا قُلْتُ لَمْ يَقُلْ لِيَقْطَعْهُمَا قَالَ لَا  

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood out and gave food but did not touch water."  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَبَرَّزَ فَطَعِمَ وَلَمْ يَمَسَّ مَاءً  

[Machine] The passage translates to: "Narrated by Ibn Abbas, it was revealed to the Prophet ﷺ when he was forty-three years old. He stayed in Mecca for ten years and in Medina for ten years before passing away at the age of sixty-three."  

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أُنْزِلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلاثٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ فَمَكَثَ بِمَكَّةَ عَشْرًا وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرًا وَقُبِضَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ enjoined this charity to be a specific amount and a half saa' of barley.  

فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هَذِهِ الصَّدَقَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا وَنِصْفَ صَاعٍ بُرًّا  

“The Prophet ﷺ used to pray thirteen Rak’ah at night.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1359)   

إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ  

[Machine] I heard Ibn Abbas say, "When the delegation of Abd al-Qays arrived to the Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , he asked, 'From which tribe or people is this delegation?' They replied, 'From the tribe of Rabi'ah.' He said, 'Welcome to the delegation, or people, who are not treacherous nor deceitful.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we have come to you from a distant and dangerous place, and between us and you is the territory of the disbelievers of Mudar. We can only come to you during the sacred month. So inform us of an action that will allow us to enter Paradise and we can inform those behind us. They also asked him about certain drinks, so he ordered them to consume four and prohibited them from four others. He ordered them to have faith in Allah, and they said, 'We know that Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said, 'The testimony that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing prayer, giving zakat, fasting Ramadan, and giving one-fifth of the spoils of war. He prohibited them from predatory animals, such as the dog and the eagle, and from slaughtered animals in the name of their idols. He also prohibited them from drinking out of pots and pipes made of the skin of dead animals.' He said, 'Keep them in mind and inform those who are behind you.'"  

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّ وَفْدَ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ لَمَّا قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مِمَنِ الوَفْدُ أَوْ قَالَ الْقَوْمُ ؟ قَالُوا رَبِيعَةُ قَالَ مَرْحَبًا بِالْوَفْدِ أَوْ قَالَ الْقَوْمِ غَيْرَ خَزَايَا وَلا نَدَامَى قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتَيْنَاكَ مِنْ شُقَّةٍ بَعِيدَةٍ وَبَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ هَذَا الْحَيُّ مِنْ كُفَّارِ مُضَرَ وَلَسْنَا نَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ نَأْتِيَكَ إِلا فِي شَهْرٍ حَرَامٍ فَأَخْبِرْنَا بِأَمْرٍ نَدْخُلُ بِهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَنُخْبِرُ بِهِ مَنْ وَرَاءَنَا وَسَأَلُوهُ عَنْ أَشْرِبَةٍ فَأَمَرَهُمْ بِأَرْبَعٍ وَنَهَاهُمْ عَنْ أَرْبَعٍ أَمَرَهُمْ بِالْإِيمَانِ بِاللهِ قَالَ أَتَدْرُونَ مَا الْإِيمَانُ بِاللهِ؟ قَالُوا اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ شَهَادَةُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ وَإِقَامُ الصَّلاةِ وَإِيتَاءُ الزَّكَاةِ وَصَوْمُ رَمَضَانَ وَأَنْ تُعْطُوا الْخُمُسَ مِنَ المَغْنَمِ وَنَهَاهُمْ عَنِ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ قَالَ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ وَالْمُقَيَّرِ قَالَ احْفَظُوهُنَّ وَأَخْبِرُوا بِهِنَّ مَنْ وَرَاءَكُمْ  

Ibn 'Abbas said that a piece of red stuff was put in the grave of Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Muslim 967)  

جُعِلَ فِي قَبْرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَطِيفَةٌ حَمْرَاءُ  

"When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was finished at Badr, it was said to him: 'You have to get the caravan, you can not settle for less than that.' Al-'Abbas called out while he was bound up: 'There is no use.' He said: 'For Allah, Most High, has promised you one of the two parties, and He gave you what He promised you.' He said: 'He has said the truth.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3080)   

قِيلَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ فَرَغَ مِنْ بَدْرٍ عَلَيْكَ الْعِيرَ لَيْسَ دُونَهَا شَيْءٌ قَالَ فَنَادَاهُ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ إِنَّهُ لَا يَصْلُحُ لَكَ قَالَ وَلِمَ؟ قَالَ لِأَنَّ اللهَ ﷻ إِنَّمَا وَعَدَكَ إِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ وَقَدْ أَعْطَاكَ مَا وَعَدَكَ  

[Machine] A man from the tribe of Bani Sulaym passed by a group of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was herding his sheep. He greeted them, but they said, "He only greeted us to seek protection from us." So they attacked him and killed him, and then they took his sheep to the Prophet ﷺ . This verse was revealed: "O you who have believed, when you go forth [to fight] in the cause of Allah, investigate; and do not say to one who gives you [a greeting of] peace, "You are not a believer,"... (Quran 4:94)  

مَرَّ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ بِنَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَسُوقُ غَنَمًا لَهُ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالُوا مَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْنَا إِلا لِيَتَعَوَّذَ مِنَّا فَعَمَدُوا إِلَيْهِ فَقَتَلُوهُ وَأَتَوْا بِغَنَمِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا ضَرَبْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَتَبَيَّنُوا} [النساء 94]  

[Machine] "From His saying, 'Say: I do not ask you for any payment for it except love for [my] relatives' [Surah Al-Shura 23]. Sa'id bin Jubayr said: the relatives of Muhammad ﷺ are the people of Quraish. Ibn Abbas said: you have hastened, indeed there was not a single abdomen among the Quraish except that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a relative in it, so the verse was revealed, 'Say: I do not ask you for any payment for it except love for [my] relatives' [Surah Al-Shura 23], except to maintain [good] relations with the kindred between you and me."  

عَنْ قَوْلِهِ ﷻ {قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَى} [الشورى 23] فَقَالَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ قَرَابَةُ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَجِلْتَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَطْنٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ إِلا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِيهِمْ قَرَابَةٌ فَنَزَلَتْ {قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَى} [الشورى 23] إِلا أَنْ تَصِلُوا قَرَابَةَ مَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said to a woman from the Ansar whose name was given as Ibn Abbas, "I forgot your name. What prevented you from performing Hajj with us this year?" She said, "O Messenger of Allah, we had two sacrificial animals and Abu Fulan, her husband, and their son rode on one, and her son and her son-in-law rode on the other. She was left without a vehicle to ride on, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "When Ramadan comes, perform 'Umrah in it, for 'Umrah in Ramadan is equal to Hajj."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِامْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ سَمَّاهَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَنَسِيتُ اسْمَهَا مَا مَنَعَكِ أَنْ تَحُجِّي مَعَنَا الْعَامَ؟ قَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ إِنَّمَا كَانَ لَنَا نَاضِحَانِ فَرَكِبَ أَبُو فُلانٍ وَابْنُهُ لِزَوْجِهَا وَابْنِهَا نَاضِحًا وَتَرَكَ نَاضِحًا نَنْضَحُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَإِذَا كَانَ رَمَضَانُ فَاعْتَمِرِي فِيهِ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِيهِ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً  

[Machine] "About Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah"  

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ  

"The people will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection naked and uncircumcised. The first one to be clothed will be Ibrahim." Then he recited: As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2082)   

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يُحْشَرُ النَّاسُ عُرَاةً حُفَاةً غُرْلًا فَأَوَّلُ مَنْ يُكْسَى إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلاةُ وَالسَّلامُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {كَمَا بَدَأْنَا أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُعِيدُهُ} [الأنبياء 104]  

[Machine] About wine, the Prophet ﷺ said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the drinking of wine and he said, 'Whoever likes to make prohibited what Allah and His Messenger have made prohibited, let him make wine prohibited.'"  

عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ وَالدُّبَّاءِ وَقَالَ مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يُحَرِّمَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ فَلْيُحَرِّمِ النَّبِيذَ  

[Machine] I said to Ibn Abbas, "Indeed, your people claim that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ threw stones at the house, and they say it is a Sunnah." He said, "They tell the truth and they lie." I asked, "How can they tell the truth and lie at the same time?" He replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did throw stones at the house, but it is not a Sunnah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ , his companions, and the polytheists were throwing stones at Jabal Quaqi'an. When they heard that they were being ridiculed, he ordered them to stop throwing stones to show them that they had strength."  

قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ إِنَّ قَوْمَكَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ رَمَلَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَأَنَّهَا سُنَّةٌ قَالَ صَدَقُوا وَكَذَبُوا قُلْتُ كَيْفَ صَدَقُوا وَكَذَبُوا؟ قَالَ قَدْ رَمَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْبَيْتِ وَلَيْسَ بِسُنَّةٍ قَدْ رَمَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَصْحَابُهُ وَالْمُشْرِكُونَ عَلَى جَبَلِ قُعَيْقِعَانَ فَبَلَغَهُ أَنَّهُمْ يَتَحَدَّثُونَ أَنَّ بِهِمْ هَزْلًا فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَرْمُلُوا لِيُرِيَهُمْ أَنَّ بِهِمْ قُوَّةً  

[Machine] I heard Abu Salih talking about something after he grew old. He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed those who visit graves and those who build mosques and put lamps on them."  

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا صَالِحٍ يُحَدِّثُ بَعْدَ مَا كَبِرَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ زَائِرَاتِ الْقُبُورِ وَالْمُتَّخِذِينَ عَلَيْهَا الْمَسَاجِدَ وَالسُّرُجَ  

Abu Hasan, a client of Banu Nawfal asked Ibn Abbas: A slave had a wife who was a slave-girl. He divorced her by two pronouncements. Afterwards both of them were freed. Is it permissible for him to ask her in marriage again? He said: Yes. This is a decision given by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2187)  

نَعَمْ قَضَى بِذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ  

The Prophet ﷺ said about a man who has sexual intercourse with a menstruating woman: He should give one or half dinar as sadaqah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2168)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الَّذِي يَأْتِي امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ يَتَصَدَّقُ بِدِينَارٍ أَوْ بِنِصْفِ دِينَارٍ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever speaks on the day of Jumu'ah (Friday) while the imam is delivering the sermon, it is as if he is carrying books like a donkey. And the one who tells him to be quiet will not have a Jumu'ah (Friday prayer)."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ تَكَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ فَهُوَ كَمَثَلِ الْحِمَارِ يَحْمِلُ أَسْفَارًا وَالَّذِي يَقُولُ لَهُ أَنْصِتْ لَيْسَ لَهُ جُمُعَةٌ  

“I would like the people to reduce (the will) from one third to one quarter, because the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'One third is a lot.'” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2711)   

أَنَّ النَّاسَ غَضُّوا مِنَ الثُّلُثِ إِلَى الرُّبُعِ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الثُّلُثُ كَثِيرٌ  

أُنْزِلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَشْرًا بِمَكَّةَ وَعَشْرًا بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ مَنْ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ؟ لَقَدْ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ بِمَكَّةَ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرًا َخَمْسًا وَسِتِّينَ وَأَكْثَرَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage, "O people, what day is this?" They said, "This is a forbidden day." He said, "What land is this?" They said, "A forbidden land." He said, "What month is this?" They said, "A forbidden month." He said, "Verily, your lives, your wealth, and your honor are sacred to you, just as this day of yours is sacred, in this land of yours, in this month of yours." Then he repeated it several times. Then he raised his head to the sky and said, "O Allah, have I conveyed the message?" Ibn Abbas said, "By Allah, it is indeed a testament to his Lord." Then he said, "So let the witness inform the absent ones, do not turn back after me as disbelievers, striking the necks of one another."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَيُّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا هَذَا يَوْمٌ حَرَامٌ قَالَ أَيُّ بَلَدٍ هَذَا قَالُوا بَلَدٌ حَرَامٌ قَالَ فَأَيُّ شَهْرٍ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا شَهْرٌ حَرَامٌ قَالَ إِنَّ أَمْوَالَكُمْ وَدِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَعْرَاضَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا ثُمَّ أَعَادَهَا مِرَارًا ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَقَالَ اللهُمَّ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ مِرَارًا قَالَ يَقُولُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَاللهِ إِنَّهَا لَوَصِيَّةٌ إِلَى رَبِّهِ ﷻ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَلا فَلْيُبَلِّغِ الشَّاهِدُ الْغَائِبَ لَا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ  

The Prophet ﷺ said: He who leaves the snakes along through fear of their pursuit, does not belong to us. We have not made peace with them since we have fought with them. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5250)  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ تَرَكَ الْحَيَّاتِ مَخَافَةَ طَلَبِهِنَّ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا مَا سَالَمْنَاهُنَّ مُنْذُ حَارَبْنَاهُنَّ
